ya all stealth plane got similar issue.

just that f35 got it worst 😂

well, idk about that. i mean i dont know as in there is so much technical data that is not available and im no expert either.

but as in all things, the best weapon is not going to win the war. compare t-34 to german tiger. the t-34 is weaker but easy to repair, produced in large numbers far outnumbering the tigers. german engineering is no horse run, but in war, it is a numbers game.

so stealth only gets you so far, the rest is still what matters.

last time its possible for our air force to match indo and MY combine, But i dun feel its a long term solution at all. Esp as Indo and My develop more and get more rich.

Look at their land , population, natural resource, How much we need to spend if we want to make our air force match them .

Like u say, dun know about MY, But indo should overtake Sg in the next 10 years. Its crazy if SG air-force plan is to ensure they remain the strongest in SEA.

lky did say we just need to give them a bloody nose enough to make them think twice. we will never be able to match them in the long run. i wonder if people have forgotten already. it is never about matching them.

lky also did want a regular army and to man them with the ah bengs. but gks convinced him that a conscript army with volunteers of the smartest people to lead them would be better.

looking at gks idea now, i think the paper generals we keep getting is a problem with our system. are they fighting generals or are they gunning to be ceos and ministars?

seems for now, rafale confirmed by indonesia.

F15ex just approved for sale by US end, not yet taken by Indo.

https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/se-asia/us-approves-us14-billion-sale-of-f-15-fighter-jets-to-indonesia

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Indonesia on Thursday (Feb 10) ordered 42 Rafale fighter jets from France and may acquire two French submarines, while the United States approved Jakarta’s potential US$14 billion (S$18.8 billion) purchase of 36 F-15s in the face of growing tensions in the Asia-Pacific.

It's only either B or C version or both has the supersonic limitation?

The standard take-off / landing version no issue right?

Read his link properly.

The problem comes after 5.9k metre altitude

He don’t read the content 1.

F35 can go supersonic, but key tactic is not to fly fast.

F22 can supercruise without afterburner, so very little heat signature while going close to twice speed of sound.

F35 also can supercruise without afterburner.

It must be done below 18,000feet.

Oh...Nice.

I didn't know F35 can supercruise too.

It's a multirole a/c like F16 too.

So below 18k ft mean it can fly fast at low altitude for strike mission or ground attack.

Then with stealth will have less radar signature. Unless hostile terrain has very good AWACS capability but likely small signature too.

So probably flying 200 knots will be better than supercruise....because the AWACS will probably be thinking these are small commercial aircraft.

Saw a video of F35 pilot. He says it's the plane any pilot would want to fly.

He can approach a F16 from behind and the F16 pilot won't know till it's too late.

They say the radar cross section is the size of golf ball. So got to fly even slower at about 300 km/h or less to pretend to be one.

This belongs here?

130k in Russian borders.

30k in Belarus......

Total 160k troops surround Ukraine borders.

Hmmm.

Not huge numbers leh. How to invade?

SG deployable troops number also bigger than that.

Unless there are 10k tanks lining up and many artillery hardwares.

Or possibly these troops a just securing the borders....

Then if really invade, there will be larger number from the point of entry.

no..

Russia can deploy 160k in the field and life still  goes on as per normal for the country at large.

singapore cannot deploy 160k without wrecking our economy even worse than corona.

My main point is 160k troops is not that high standing army percentage from Russia.

Not that we want to deploy 160k, just that in times of crisis for SG, we can deploy all reservists.

My comparison is from different extremes of standing army.

Also think 160k is not large enough forces to invade Ukraine.

If Lukashenko did not strong armed the opposition, forced commercial landing in Minsk, Russian soldiers would probably be surrounding Belarus today.

Putin is so scared of losing whatever "friends" they have left.

Small Kazakhstan tremor, immediately send soldiers in.

I tink 40% of our men cannot find uniform, 50% can find but cannot fit into the uniform, 10% must go find their town council workers to ask for the uniform...with another challenge is donno can fit ornot 😅
