He did said it was an accident, albeit a very light brush against the other car at 10km/h, before resulting in the rear left control arm failure. Swipe, touch, rub before or after the control arm break, no answer. Not enough evident, thus its an accident. ↡ Advertisement

And I don't have the green light from the other party to post. Sigh... I would have post many things if without constrain. The lack of evident of video from (the car in front and back of my vehicle) and the lack of support of AD, my case is fixed. Appreciate many Bros here are so forthcoming to advice, especially Sp4wn. Sorry for the lack of photos and videos. Singapore does not have Image Rights codified in law. Now, I have to state upfront that I am not a lawyer, but I believe this means that unless you defamed or harassed the other party or "passed off" any goods or services as coming from you rather than him, you are completely within your rights to post even unedited photos and footage of any accident vehicle. Heck, that's basically how useless kay pohs like the admin of SG Road Vigilante and their ilk even stay in business, and those are not even *their* own accidents. Basically trying to get the other party to "green light" anything you post of their car's image is unnecessary and a waste of time. So I don't get your reticence. Honestly, when I can't square someone's account, I have trouble believing it. But you've decided to take the hit and move on, so that's good. Keep in mind though, that while you're worrying about some other driver, there's a much bigger shark that you're subtly alleging has made and sold a defective product, and that's Porsche/Stuttgart/Eurokars. If you're so worried about repercussions, you should've thought twice before even making your first post. Miao-ing 1st Gear March 5, 2021 Share March 5, 2021 Thanks all for sharing ideas and advice. They are helpful. And apologies for the lack of photo and videos. Finally, repair has started.
Jamesc Hypersonic March 5, 2021 Share March 5, 2021 At the end of the day there is no excuse for bad service. If I was AD I would do three things. Always be polite and patient with customer and always be supportive to customer. I would fight as hard as possible with Germany on a free warranty repair. If I cannot get this I would tell customer I would do a cost to cost repair as I don't want to make a profit on other people's mishaps. I would just charge cost of part and man hours and no markup. And I would tell customer I would do the repair as quickly as possible so you can get the car back on the road. Of course cannot expect them to have an army of loyal customers like I have saying my massage is the best. No man rub them like I do.

Jamesc Hypersonic March 5, 2021 Share March 5, 2021 The basis for good sevice is respect for the customer. I would not dare use the Newton third law as I would worry customer might think I am trying to insult their intelligence.

Sp4wn Turbocharged March 5, 2021 Author Share March 5, 2021 (edited) which brings me back to my own problems. well lack thereof again haha. picked up my car today from SA, took 1 day, they replaced both windows (left side window was confirmed malfunctioning, but since right front side also started showing some "signs" of issues cropping up, they quickly replaced that entire motor as well, knowing that i'll kick up a bloody fuss if i have to bring in this car *again* for yet another window related repair.) more importantly, how is it the windows in my car cant last more than 2 years without a breakdown ... i told the guy, looks like i need to bring this car to chinese temple, hindu temple, mosque, church and see if can exorcise the demon living in it ... cos bloody hell there has to be a gremlin living in it! interestingly enough, even though this is on warranty, they have a charge for $195 "check crackling sound heard on front passenger window". the entire "bill" (no payment since under warranty) is $1300 ... which means listening to this sound is exactly 15% of the bill! i know many bros who will accept half price to use their ears and "check crackling sound on front passenger window". i wonder if there's a full time job for this ... seems like good money! probably @Jamescwill volunteer his MIL edit: in fairness ill give credit where its due. i highlighted this issue about 1 - 1.5weeks ago. sent them a whatsapp video. based on that they quickly ordered the parts, scheduled everything timely and took 1 day downtime to resolve the issue. so ill give them that! no finger point, no nothing, just acknowledging there is a problem that has re-occured, that needs to be fixed again and getting it done. now just keeping my fingers crossed the issue doesnt crop up yet again! Is it pluck from the air say $200 but $200 sounds like any how whack a price and so reduce $5 and make it $195? $195 sounds like psychological pricing. $200 sounds so expensive so make it $195 as its just a bit more than $100 only. ↡ Advertisement
