The amount of drag the wing mirrors cause better to replace with a small camera and small screens inside the car.

Best is no need turn head to check which many people cannot even bother to do.

Just glance at the screen to see if got car beside.

The cost of camera and screens these days also so cheap.

Even SBS bus also use camera and no bike squeezing got wing mirror to target with his handle bar.

That alone make camera worth it.

you can see over here. the whole reason i went with a porsche was for the peace of mind

instead now i get a migraine ...

but im 100% sure there's a void clause the minute i let any other tech touch it, and im sure SA would just love that

i dont think fragrance boss had b&w from TEK staff saying they didnt know how to fix, 5 months after constantly telling me I was the issue in the first place.

Look at it logically;

IF SA denies what their senior staff says, it means that they are hiring incompetent people, and this isnt just some mechanic who spoke, but the workshop supervisor himself.  (if you are a porsche owner currently, wouldnt you be thinking, wtf, how come the workshop supervisor can say like that, there must be some truth to it right ? else how did he get so high in SA)

IF SA doesnt deny what he says, then obviously they gave me all that bulls**t about vision / iphone / weather / humidity just to prevent me from actually finding out the real truth (which their staff informed instead)

fragrance boss sued for a squeak. my car squeaks, i dont really give 2 shits about squeaks. i can live with those. its the safety of my baby thats the most important thing to me (and why i chose to buy a premium marque in the first place)

Sad to know your story. Shockingly, JD Power 2019 says Porsche is a top reliable car, almost as reliable as a Lexus, and I was almost very sure planing to own a Porsche next year. But now, I have to think it over again, as it don't seem so reliable as claimed...

I think TS is really unlucky. That’s why they said that buying a car is a matter of Heng Suay. Looks like TS got a lemon unfortunately.

On the flip side, I recently bought a new Macan from TEC and so far I’ve no issues with it. So far not many complains about major issues in the international Macan forums and local Porky group as well. So it’s still a pretty reliable car overall.

Actually if you buy a new car and got many problems, it can also be called a Friday car.

Means it’s built on Friday so those workers all TGIF and no mood to work, just looking forward to weekend.

That's indeed the car's fault.

But SA not only did not take up the responsibility to properly and correctly assessed for appropriate repairs but instead played musical chairs in the blame game.

This is the crux of TS's sharing. If the issues had been better handled, it will lessen the unnecessary inconvenience. For eg the water ponding courtesy car.

As a bro pointed out, the next repair on coming Tues to get to item marked J or I to resolve smelly aircon has nothing to do with aircon unless its a secret component not listed.

All in, lemon car ownership can be less painful. Less inconvenience. If SA acted with more care and professionalism. Stop pushing blame around. Take bloody ownership of problems NOT resolved till now...3 years is not a short period to still be at square 1.

I will definitely not recommend SA or the rides they sell to any of my friends, family or associates. It is my personal choice and decision that they do not land themselves in the same unfortunate situation as TS.

Just my tots

Safe ride

@Sp4wn I read through the whole thread and I really feel for you for going through all these. I really admire your principle for fighting for what’s right.

I agree with you that it’s okay to have a flawed car or even a lemon car if the post sales service was good - that they do everything in their power to resolve the unfortunate incident. But when they start to blame you for everything, it’s something I can’t swallow.

I’ll help to share this story in places I can as a PSA to the public on what to expect when buying from SA. Please do take care and the community is behind you!
