The older version (series 1 & 2) they are using the Rover K-Series engine.

I think they changed to Toyota engine for series 3 onwards... and still using now.

Lotus is poised on a rapid expansion plan funded by the might of Geely resources. The brand will have access to plenty of technology and manufacturing know-how from the group which includes Volvo. A Lotus SUV is undergoing trials now and may appear in the next couple of years. Then there is the Evija electric hypercar with 2000bhp...

I also believe there is enthusiasts support for this revered brand who will continue to buy Lotus in SG, as long as there are new models and sufficient back up.

I have started a thread on Lotus Evija a couple of days back. Look very promising for Lotus, as they seems too quiet this few years, after Geely bought over them.
