@Fastfive1 I had my encounter with them . Mine also D1 Spec installed 6 months ago at the AD at Ubi one. Installed and drive with no issue . Only recently discover that front left rim alot of brake dust , and right rim have little brake dust, unbalanced brake dust i would say. I wash rim twin in 1 months to monitor the situation. Still the same. I msg the salesman . He reply that only brake with sound and unusual issue then they will check . Brake dust uneven they dun check. Next day I drove to the workshop let the mechanic check. Jus use eye power see say its normal. I told them rear brake dust is balance on both side. Still say normal for the front . I LL drove off. Last week I went to my regular workshop for servicing . I highlight to them also this issue. They do a check and did some testing . Say the rubber abit harden. And show me the that piston does not move fully , sometime retract back but cannot move out again. So i msg the saleman and told him piston "Jam" . He reply my msg how can i let other workshop without letting him knowing.... He know my workshop and call my workshop and scold the boss. I apologise to the boss on this matter, he reply no worries. I went down to look for him. We had a conversation. He say unbalanced brake dust is not a problem , say never heard about unbalanced brake dust . And claim that i say jam when my workshop say is not jam. I told him to me is a jam as i am not a technical person on cars. I told him I  queries a few workshop which i know off and most claim that unbalanced brake dust is some issue on the caliper piston. Guess what ? He say if those workshop can solve yr problem you can go to them to solve your issue. I got heated up and told him its ok , Business DO ONCE .... i walk away .... Seriously I think he know nothing about cars mod and issue... well that my luck.....

Very funny case.
From what u write, i dun think u demand the AD to fix for u FOC  right?

u just want to know the issue, If really piston jam, I am sure u willing to pay to get it fix.
This is business for the AD, i dun know why the sales guy react that way😅

Funnily I never had any front piston jam. Had it 2 times in different cars for the rear and one car was after 5-6years without brake fluid change and the other was after 10years without fluid change.

Dun think the piston jam got anything to do with brake fluid.

More like rust etc . the caliper inside those rubber seal some time degrade will cause leakage.

U only replace the brake pad. if that brakepad got issue , they will replace for u .

But if the issue lies with other parts , for example the caliper or piston . its very hard to fault them and demand foc repair.

Unless of course ,  today u change brake pad, tomorrow your brake jam, u straight go back. .like that still can discuss abit. 6 months on the road is abit too long.

Most ws wont even fix for u foc even if on the spot your piston jam while replacing your brake pad. they will tell u : hello boss, your brake piston jam also, it will cost xxx to fix, do u want to go ahead.

Alot of mechanical thing u dun touch ,no issue, once u touch 1 by 1 fail. For example radiator burst. to remove radiator, they remove hose, hose is harden need to replace also, while removing hose, the rusty housing give way. need to replace whole thermostate assembly.

People jam brakes, this case brakes jammed....[laugh]

Anyway other workshop said (piston) rubber harden already right? Means time to replace/refurbish the pistons. If don't want to spend money alternative is to swap your left and right front wheels every mid month and your should see same amount of dust on the wheels.

I have sound from the pads every morning during the first couple of times i braked. was told this is due to the low temp of the pads when we started to get the drive going.

After a while as i am out of the MSCP the sound is gone. Am using the stock blue performance pads for big4.

Do you encounter this too bro?
