Given the thin margin last season, bad start a few games and we will GG.

There is the world club cup in Dec in Qatar, meaning some fixtures will be compressed to don't know when.

Really does not bourne well for us  [:(]

ya the World Club Cup is quite a waste of time

Supercharged

i think we will see Gini / Origi / AOC if facing a top half team.. (i haven't seen the game schedule though)

Klopp seemed to "dislike playing" Shaqiri.. after Shaqiri got sub off during half time for one of the games. Anyway Shaqiri is injured.

Klopp probably decided Harry Wilson and Ryan Kent are not good enough and wants to get rid of them and bring in some money

These two are like Coady.. good enough to walk into many EPL team XI but not enough for his team

Klopp's setup using his preferred 4-3-3 is based on clock-work especially for the middle 3. If Shariqi is to start ahead of the current middle 3, he would have to make sure his starting 11 place is effective in terms on actual on field contributions - in terms of assists, crosses and goals.  That's where if you think about it, sacrificing any of the middle 3 would not be easy as they work so hard to close the gaps in midfield and protect the back 4. The goals come mainly from the front 3 who also needs to press high and put in a shift.

When you look at Shariqi, he is then perceived as a "luxury" player - one that doesnt immediately improve the work rate and sometimes turn on the magic.  He can be terribly inconsistent from game to game - relative to the starting 11's roles and positions.  Hence, it would then be an issue whether Klopp thinks starting Shariqi is worth it.  Towards the end of last season, he comes in as a sub mainly to replace one of the front 3 as less weight is given on his ability to cover the midfield spaces.

Ox on the other hand, is more mobile and covers spaces much better.   He can bring the ball with him as he breaks from defence to attack hence that is a valuable asset. Keita was supposed to do that too however his form in his 1st season was abit consistent and he also only featured more towards the end of the season after settling down.

Pool hasnt win in preseason so far. Very worrying, with only 2 weeks left.

We beat Bradford 6-0

6-0

Great analysis as usual.

Most teams are a one man team.

Barça without Messi is not Barça.

Madrid without Rinaldo is not Madrid.

Pool are a three man team.

Mane, Salah and Firmino.

We had a preseason without any of our main players.

And i hope that all these recent draws and losses are a false front that Klopp put up to mislead the opponents into thinking we're not ready to start the season.

Hope we can surprise them and keep winning from the start.

wah salute you guys. even friendly also watch until so late...

i only tahan'ed 1st half, then cannot liao.

with the big guns back, the team looked more confident and is not so headless like last few matches. Which is worrying...

we need the backups to be able to hold the team's standard when they come in, and not suddenly be a (few) step down.

not sure how many of Allison, Firmino, Salah, Keita, Shaqiri will play in the community shield, but if they don't, then hope the boys can put up a good performance.

Young Torres scores a screamer.

Harry Wilson

:D

really neat player who has a cultured left foot.  Should keep for this season and see whether can blood him in.

He does command a good fee (25m) hence it is also understandable why Klopp or the mgt is assessing whether to cash out.

saw the penalty conceded by Alisson. It is comical to say the least...  dropped the ball and couldnt recover it as it spilled in between the legs.  then forced to tackle the player to concede the pen.

hope such jokes are kept only for such preseason games...

Maybe Klopp has allowed Alisson Becker one silly gaffe per season.

At least this is during pre-season not that bad ..... haha
