I read in hong kong reddit, his identity has been doxxed to death, and pleas to ask people to go rape his daughter.

This is also a reason why the police cannot work effectively, they fear for their own family.

I've heard of monks in Vietnam burning themselves. That's a selfless act of true protest.

This-setting fire to someone else-is a disgustingly selfish act, indicative of psychopathy not courage.

The world we are used to; where a hand-shake is as good as a written contract is all but gone

For the younger generation; family sizes are much small and often reduced to 1 only - so many are spoilt rotten with limited sense or appreciation of social values, the real and virtual world becomes blurred for many, schooling nowadays are a lot different - last time do something wrong kena xyz but today they find excuse for you and let you know you are not wrong but just needed to appreciate their inner strength and expect everyone else around to admit they are wrong and not the kid, etc

To think that when we get old, these same younger generation would eventually be our leaders and what our lives would be in the future.

Doc, I apologize, I tried very hard, but my mind is weak and my body (fingers) are also weak............. there is a someone who despite not a strawberry generation, cannot differentiation human from insects, this guy (undertaker) seen him quite often queueing up at IMH taking queue number and I understand he is a Sesame Street drop-out, then used Barney the Purple Dinosaur School  leaving certificate to apply to be moderator in MCF. Shall we expose him?

You really have to forgive me, for me the Rxxx is MCF and MCF is Rxxx.

To be fair, yesterday I also saw a video of HK people clearing the debris on the roads out of their own will. Some of them look retired, and some look like office workers.

I believe only a small minority are violent trouble makers, and they should be dealt with swiftly by force.

It's also difficult for peaceful HKers to stand up against them because these violent minority attack in groups.

Maybe HK should declare a state of emergency, impose curfew, and using intelligence to round up these violent minority. But that will hurt business and their economy even more.

https://mothership.sg/2019/11/pmd-riders-confront-ang-wei-neng/

A little scene as what is to come, if government lacks foresight and quick actions.

With heavy handed laws without solving the issues for all involved.

I thought banning PMD on pavement and roads, while still allowing some electric bikes etc seem to miss the point entirely.

Maybe just a suggestion, accelerate demarcation of bicycle/PMD paths across the whole island, while requiring insurance and registration of all PMD devices, or at least those who are making a living with them.

Only with good policies that addresses the root causes, can it solve the social tensions and get their votes, least it goes the way of HK

Bike paths give false sense of order and safety. Every 50m the bike paths will crisscross with motor traffic and pedestrian traffic. Bikers/PMDs don't stop for anyone, including king kong Lori. So all please think through all details before avocating bike paths as the cure all. Go look at Shanghai how messing it is at junctions.
