Hi All,

Newbie here.

I loved the XC40 - I was very tempted and have been following up on this thread :)

Until I realized for the price paid, a momentum trim OMV is only slight above 25K

comparing to a X1 - which is about 35K in OMV (smaller engine somemore)

Is there a reason for it?

Will that impact the selling / trade in value?

Thanks :)

Buy the xc40 if you love its style, features n its zth hot hatch ability...if omv more impt u are better off with a merc gla or x1 bmw...xc40s are in hot demand n out of stock worldwide.

Yes definitely will impact.. coz it affects ur paper value.

Nonetheless, trade in value is all bulls**t wan.. say what high trade in blah blah blah.. in the end dealer also lowball u like mad regardless of make. They keep saying merc got good trade in value.. still lose alot trading in to dealers. At least 20% less than market

Itâs a Moosed wowo. Donât play pray...

Ever saw a YT video, a wowo rammed a jaywalked moose... scoreline 1:1.

Haa. Talking about moose.

My wife is a big fan of those moose Christmas stickers they give out every year. She would anxiously collect them every year and pasted them at the rear windscreen of her old Swift.

Told her when she collected enough stickers, her Swift would change to a real wowo. She collected her V40 last year. When she traded her Swift in, there were 7 mooses at the rear.

I don’t think it’s display unit cos it’s in their price list n the Mgmt car price list at the show doesn’t have an xc40 as far as I can see.

For the price of the xc40, you can get a S90 (management unit) !

That's shocking to me.

Nothing shocking actually..no offence to other volvo models but in volvo's family line up, the XC suv series are at the higher end of volvo's price range...volvo's forte are in its suvs Edited by Treestar

Yes definitely..in the subcompact class, the xc40 has one of the biggest wheelbase dimensions...i have 1 infant seat and 1 child safety seat behind.

It's shocking if you compare it with its German and Japanese rivals.

Even it's German rivals didn't heavily discount its cars with its predecessor coming out soon.
