Anyone experience this before? I didn't check the note is passed to me by the hawker.

Then this morning when I take out my note i realised it's torn.

Nowadays not all bank have people station there. What do you all do with torn note? any tips?

if you return to the bank, this will probably worth only $8 plus.

that sneaky hawker very smart.... pass that torn bill to you... so in the end your lunch/dinner cost more now since that bill has been depreciated when one part of it had been "written off"

go bank and change la. what a question. it's 10 bucks. if it is $2, then throw it away, no need to waste time.

I once received a 1USD coin instead of 1 SGD coin. Knn, kanna cheated. Threw the coin away also.

Tape it and go exchange with the bank. $10 for $10. If got issues, go MAS to do it.

As long as set of serial numbers intact, no problem. Otherwise can frame it or laminate it as a reminder to check the change, if u want to avoid the hassle.

Safe ride

Yes, just stick it with scotch tape and exchange at bank, or re-circulate by using it to purchase something after you've patched it.

Just note that with regards to serial numbers, if you wish to have a full refund of the amount - both sets of complete serial numbers must be on the note, If the note is half torn and only holds one full serial number and without / partial second serial number, you will only get half the amount.

Buy again from the same hawker and use the $10.
