Just do locally. Majority of the $$$ is the workmanship, not the materials. You buy online, u also need to find shop that is willing to do it. Cos they prob will need to still put in work to make it fit nicely. Some shops prob won't even do it for you.

Fabric is cooler but challenging to clean.

 

Especially after a jog or a run at your favourite reservoir area. Smelly smelly sweaty sweaty on your fabric seat...
