Best system is still to keep a safe distance and anticipate the changing circumstances 3-4 vehicles in front. When you drive in Singapore, it is every man for himself. If you don't check to see if there is damage, what if some funny insurance claim comes in a month later? In Singapore where cars cost an arm and a leg, it's normal for people to check on their own car first. If you were placed in a similar situation, you would do the same. The main cause of the accident is the White Audi. The blame should be put on the driver of the audi. I don’t think they even know there’s an accident between the Audi and motorcycle. They heard the crash, front nothing so obviously they will check the back. I think what left a bad taste for many is that the BMW couple appeared to be concerned over what might be minor damage to their rear bumper at worst, when the rider suffered much worse mere metres away. From the video alone I can only conclude one of two things: 1) BMW couple have zero situational awareness - 2 persons in the car and neither of them noticed the accident that unfolded right next to them. 2) BMW couple are heartless - not even a glance towards the fallen rider but both go check on their car 3 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

For someone who is purportedly very situationally aware, you did not even notice or entertain the possibility that the couple had missed the entire bike accident until several here mentioned it based on the same video that all of us watched. Just that a behavior modification will be required for those tailgaters.No safety features can better than our own focus and concentration on the road. I suppose you referring to Level 1.
