After all the DIY journey with various parts of the car. I decided to start troubleshooting my own vehicle’s ac.

 

Anyone has any inputs on where to obtain r134a gas in a canister form?

 

Other tools like pressure gauges and pipes can be easily found in Taobao. However R134a gas is one of the prohibited items to be shipped from China to Singapore.

Saw in the website, only the big cylinder is available. Do they sell small canister canned version on site?

I was only intending to replace the expansion valve. So would be needing to release the R134A and refill it again

Er ....... then you should also change the Discharge and Suction pipe lor.

 

Usually Discharge pipe is the first to fail lor due to heat and pressure.  Then Suction pipe is because you also want to change the dryer, which is usually integrated.  It trap Dust/debris and Water (If any) lor.

 

Best is why fix it when it ain't broken.

How did you identify the problem is due to the expansion valve?
