Adrianli Hypersonic April 23, 2019 Share April 23, 2019 My friend told me that the home-fix outlet at Compass One was repossessed. He sent me a photo of the notice outside the unit. Was surprised that home-fix closed down. They are like everywhere and seems to be doing well. ↡ Advertisement
Watwheels Supersonic April 23, 2019 Share April 23, 2019 Hardware stores in malls kinda do not make sense. Other major hardware shops are located in industrial areas which make more sense to me. End up the company start to sell stuff unrelated to hardware(to attract buyers) which add to capital costs. Maybe it's just this one branch. I hope. Hamburger Hypersonic April 23, 2019 Share April 23, 2019 They are seriously over priced. That again, that's coming from a person that used to be from factory settings.

Watwheels Supersonic April 23, 2019 Share April 23, 2019 (edited) Hardware I buy from Taobao Even aircon parts like pcb board Even washing machine drainage pump, pcb board Damn everything also Taobao Good point. Even for ppl who DIY such as yourself will buy online. Actually the point of do it yourself is to save on cost. The company calls themselves DIY but the cost of things are too high to DIY. Kinda ironic. Edited April 23, 2019 by Watwheels

Lala81 Hypersonic April 23, 2019 Share April 23, 2019 Tough business model. The DIY scene here is weak. Most people rather call a handyman or plumber. We don't have a garage or shed to keep tools. Some homes don't even have ladder, spanner or proper tool kit. Not to mention drills etc.

There's a big one at Westgate. Prices are lower than Homefix/Selfix for the same product. For example, i bought the WD40 a/c cleaner for $11.50 there vs $13.50 at Selfix downstairs.
