Yesterday evening got a text message from the Mazda SE, below is the confirmed selling price for CX5

2.0 standard - $134.8k

2.0 premium - $142.8k

2.5 luxury - $148.8k

2.5 super lux -$152.8k

Not sure what other features is in super lux, will see it and understand more during the launch.

Any idea if there gonna be any further discount during the launch event at Ritz Carlton nxt wk?

How did you get invited to the launch?

I got mine 2 weeks ago. Asked the SE and was told marketing division sends out invitations to current Mazda owners and those who registered interest earlier. They have one silver CX-5 for viewing now at Ubi, but no test drive until after launch on this Fri -- Ritz Carlton

Super lux has lane departure warning system and off-white leather seats. Not worth the extra $4k.

Super Lux has the following which the Lux do not have:

  1. Adaptive LED Headlights
  2. ADB Headlamp (Lux has AFS Headlamps)
  3. Keep Lane Assist
  4. Lane Departure Warning
  5. Smart City Brakes - Front and Back
  6. Driver Attention Alert
  7. Pedestrian Brake

This is what I noticed from the brochure

Does this cx5 comes with AWD?

Yes, CX-5 comes with AWD, unfortunately, I think Mazda Singapore will not bring in the AWD from what I understand

The SE whom serve me send me an invitation to the launch.

Looks like I need to change SE... I test drive Mazda 6 with him when two Sundays ago... And I told him to keep me in the loop abt CX-5,he still contacted me 2 days ago but didn't mention anything about CX-5 pricing and trims when I again reminded him to update me. And you guys here are talking about price and specs....

Just left the event, it was really pack with potential buyers. The new headlights are really a head turner and with addition features like the electric tail gate really draw more buyers to this new CX5. However some stuff with I find it a turn off is;

1. Although there is the pull cover for the boot, it is not like other SUV which can be locked horizontally, it is locked vertically which literally cover the rear window. I am not sure if it is still visable especially in the night.

2. The bonnet is still the traditional type where by you need to have a stick to hold the bonnet open unlike most cars now comes with hydraulic.

3. Cabin size is a bit small

My SE told me now the price for 2L premium is 141k which to me is really attractive. There is a new colour call machine grey which needs to top up 1k more and the red crystal is 500 more. Hope this info help anyone interested to buy make a descision. If you need a SE you can pm me, I can intro my SE to you as he is very helpful and patient with me.

The pull cover is horizontal, its is vertical when the tail gate is open.
