Some Bro might know that my son was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor 3 years back, got 1 of his kidney removed and later spread to his lungs. (1st relapse)

We fought the battle together. It was tiring and a long hard battle. After multiple treatments, he was clear, 2 months back had his portal cath removed.... and we started to plan for a family trip.... he has finally won a well deserve trip.....

so we thought......

Last week, a routine check found the tumor back at the kidney area.... we were devastated...... WHY!!!..... its a 2nd relapse.... the prognosis is not ideal....

BUT, WTF...... we gonna go battle again and we gonna fight!!!

So Bro, we understand what you are going through... let's fight this together!!!!

The family fighting together as one unit always win at the end. Jia you!

We really hope so bro... my elder kid is coming 13 years old and not being overseas once... we thought finally can make the trip... sigh.... got to wait for his younger brother to recover.... already cancel our hotel and car rental... now waiting for doctor letter before we write to Scoot... hope not too difficult..

Actually the doctor was trying to help if can still make the trip, but a lot of unknown for this round of treatment, so we decide to cancel it till later when he recover.

Don’t worry bro, tell your eldest son he will have his chance.

I didn’t take my first flight out of Singapore till I am 23 years old. Not so fortunate...

If any consolation my first flight was to Japan when I was 29 years old, on business trip some more!

Hope your older kid can understand and accept this change of plan. Take care.

how many cycle he needs to go thru ? his treatment duration seems very long .

Most adults go thru 6-9 months .  I didnt know KKH had this treatment . I tot at NCC

such long treatment can really wear the body down. Maybe we can get something to cheer him up ?

Anything he like not available here ?

Sorry to hear about your boy's relapse.

He is a strong young boy, i believe he's not giving up but still fighting this mutiny in his body. Against all odds, i wish him a speedy and miraculous recovery.

You and loved ones, pls take good care of own health too. Have ample rest.

Will remember you all in prayers. God's grace and healing be upon your youngest son. His Peace and Strength be upon u and family daily.

Thank you for sharing.

Actually his initial treatment was only 6mths... but barely 2 months after that, it spread to the lungs, thus the long treatment... now barely 1 year after the last treatment, it came back to the kidney area.... got a kiddo beside my son bed, also same, but the kiddo relapse 3years after treatment....

Ya KKH had a ward for all children cancer patients... all sorts of cancer are treated there except for radiotherapy, which they need to do it at SGH... the children cancer ward is a sad place to be... but most kids there are warriors... all fighting the same battle.... they got very good volunteer support from Children Cancer Foundation... so it make their stay a little bit bearable.

You should consider to make the trip. Maybe convert into a short getaway before treatment starts.

Congrats on the last dose, by now 99% of the chem shd be pee out of body. Again drink more water and pee more often. As long as WBC is climbing and you can gain wt, can put this whole incident behind. How much wt did you lose?

Still got one more session on Monday. The steroids were to help with the nausea caused by chemo.

Wt loss? Maybe 2kg but all muscle. Unhealthy diet recently. Need to build up again once I can really work out.

My counts should still be low these few days. Should recover later next week.
