Amazing bids this round as I didn't expect so strong a rebound.

 

Good for those who secured their COE and those who have not under non-guaranteed COE better pray hard.

 

It looks like Cat A is heading for $30k+ and Cat B $50k+ very soon.

 

2nd half of 2018 was the period to buy a car. The next best period will be 10 years later.

Last week my SE friend told me that those customers who bought on non-guaranteed (NG) Coe basis sometime back (because there a a $2K discount for NG) was asked to top up another $5K for Cat B b4 this Wednesday 3 April Coe bidding exercise.

 

Now with this jump of Cat A, B and esp Cat E, I am sure NG buyers will be in for a rough time.

 

Good luck for those affected. Meanwhile have a safe ride.

here we will go again.

 

Panic buyers rush in during the rebound, willing to pay for guaranteed COE package.

 

Those previously on Non-G package will also be willing to pay for top-ups.

 

AD SEs all Chio-mi-mi all the way to the bank.

 

This kind of panic buying will push up the COE for the next few rounds, for sure.

And will stay at those high levels since COE growth is zero and the replacement quota for the next ten years will be 'Low'.

 

Cheap COE days are likely to be OVER.
