Yes and one reason for prices going up isnt the real demand, its grey and preown dealers buying from each other to manage their inventory.

so as mentioned, this is probably Rolexes first step in centralising consolidating its sales.  The profit margin for a new rolex is 36% for the AD at retail.  So Rolex has a lot of room to play with.  
 

Also Rolex isnt a list co. Its a foundation which means its actually “non profit” although we can all imagine how much profits they make.  I think it would be It would be quite ready to spend money on Brand Equity. Or even just to ruffle the boring traditional watch industry

The way I see it, Rolex is spreading its profit portfolio...coz now they have a finger in the other brands and will boost their profitability....previously everything is from Rolex products but now they have access to almost all the Brands out there....a coup for lolex, I would say!! :yeah-im-not-drunk:

thats what some people say.

perhaps but its totally unnecessary and dilutes the whole Rolex almost god-like branding purity. 
 

as mentioned if they wanted money, they could print money.  
 

i view this as a negative to the 5matchsticks…….. sigh, it has been going downhill since the turn of the millenium.  Lousy designs, ugly dials, giant sizes.    Thats why this year i only bought 2.  Sold 8.

yes ... love or hate AK ... for me ... 

 


its a very unique Rolex from the yellow imprinted crown to the green rolex word and the green second hand.  No other rolex is like that.  Also the white numerals.  The fatter case profile makes it sit like a seadweller.  
 

in the past i didnt buy it becos i had too many Rolex on hand.   
 

but since i have only 29 pieces after selling many this year, i thought why not?
