Excellent choice for lefties. 2 months is a very reasonable wait for this watch, very happy for you.

Used to own a Grande Reverso 976. It has a display caseback, lovely watch.  Manual wind, and it gives a unique charm everytime I fiddle with the crown.

Reverso is a really iconic watch, glad that JLC is doing some marketing for it in this part of the world.

Great to hear about your experience with Reverso. What is your wrist size, may I ask?

What happen to the watch now?

The lug to lug of the Grande Reverso 976 is abt 49mm which is just ok not to overhang out of my wrist.

Sold long time ago. After a long while of wearing watches, I find myself prefer round watches more.

But the Reverso is always a special piece.

For many years, i considered getting a full gold grande reverso.
its a thing to look at but another to sit on the wrist.

Fitbit should do a collab with JLC 😁  the look is already there

Very beautiful piece, the light brown leather goes superb with the charcoal tapestry. Which year was this produced?

Thanks

this is an early production 16238 from 1989.  It succeeds ref 16018 . Upgraded movement 3135, more refined case design and solid gold crown tube instead of plain steel one of its predecessor.

This is a silver tapestry datejust 16018.  Predecessor of the Ref 16238 as mentioned earlier.
looks almost identical but there are distinctive minute differences as shared just now.

An excellent elegant 18k solid gold Rolex which can last more than a lifetime for sure.  This piece is around 1982/83

Correct me if I am wrong, is 3135 movement only released recently, within the last 10 years, because now I see the new models use 3135 movement also.

In terms of upgrading, do you trade in the old movement to get the new one? or how does it works?

super reliable, super robust and strong.

Upgrading meaning Rolex factory upgraded the movement in the new Ref.  No such thing as trding in for new movement.  Hahah

Santos is another lovely watch.  Very refined with lots of history behind it.  Those roman numerals on the Santos has certain magic to it; simple, legible and when pair with the square case, looks absolutely beautiful.  The current design with an integrated case that just flows with the bracelet is quite stunning and that easy smartlink system is just god-send for people who play with straps.
