My laptop is from aftershock. GTX 1050.

But used for my kid to do MOE online home work   [laugh]  [:p]

Yeah actually other than the form factor, don't really need much for school use bah ...

My daughter has to use Macbook  because of her course requirement. Many of her friends bought the high end powerful notebook for gaming purpose actually, and some regret now because they realize that they have to carry that thing to school everyday.. [laugh]  [laugh]  [laugh]

The Zenbbok supposed to conform to Mil-Spec standards, unlike other series. Keeping finger cross that it will last.

But i did walked around to check out other makes. But both my girl and myself do not really want anything else as all look quite bland.

By chance any of them are of Zenbook series? Should have posted earlier lah.

As far as my wife could recall, all were Vivobook series. I did not share earlier as none of you mentioned Asus until yesterday afternoon mah.

I have to agree that Asus has many attractive model in their lineup and most are price reasonably, which was what attracted me to it last year. But speaking to a couple of sales person at stores and during IT show, most if not all commended that Asus quality have dropped by a fair bit over the last few years (they are hearing more -ve feedback from buyers as well). Let just hope I am the odd one out.

Oh yah, Zenbook is supposed to be a grade higher / better the Vivobook, so probably better quality and reliability as well.
