No prob.

Don’t mean to sound rude. But unless you are a Tesla fanboy, I really don’t know why you would choose it over the P2. Not saying only Polestar builds better cars. But so many brands are catching up. Tesla feels like it’s going to become the Nokia of EVs with its dated designs.

Nope. Not looking at Tesla. I am more towards Ioniq 5 or Polestar

I would not spend even $60 for the beng looking yellow seat belt. Among all the option, the most useful might be the performance pack, which cost $6K iirc.

You got use signal stick meh? :D

BTW going forward with autonomous driving, signal stick might be history as the car will activate it automatically. Sounds like something from Sci fri...

The Polestar 2 is smaller than the 3rd Generation S60.

The cabin is best as a 4 seater imo.

IIRC, it is 8 years or 160,000Km whichever come first.

@Carbon82 was comparing the dimension against Tesla model 3. looks like P*2 is smaller.. but I guess have to visit the showroom to have the actual feel of the space.

it's really a nice car. will definitely be in my shortlist when I decided to switch to EV.

Wonder do they sell a charger to be install in your home or just use public EV charger....

Even they don't sell (which is unlikely), you still got ABB or Schneider Electric as installers.

@inlinesix oh, not familiar with who are the installer in the car industry....

Most of these chargers still goes back to the traditional electric installer.

SP Power & Shell charger are installed by ABB.

@Acegab

In term of specification and performances, Tesla definitely  has an edge against Polestar 2. If you are a geek or techie guy for sure you will lean more towards to Tesla.

Another thing for consideration for me is the price. In general, Polestar 2 in other countries is cheaper than Tesla but when it reached to our shore, it is the opposite. Tesla is much cheaper than Polestar 2. This is due to how both brand selling their car. Tesla is doing direct sale while Polestar 2 is via AD. And let not forget Tesla has better energy consumption as compared to Polestar 2.

So for me definitely is Tesla by comparing Specs, Performance and Price.

anyone know how much is the PARF rebate after 10 yr for P*2 and Tesla model 3 SR and Tesla model 3 Performance?

I heard that the PARF rebate amount would be significantly lower due to the upfront VES & EEAI rebates...

@Kennethoka oh is it? you are comparing price based on P*2 vs Tesla model 3 Standard range?

on the other hand, I was comparing based on battery capacity which means P*2 base model vs Tesla model 3 performance range since both battery are 78kwh and P*2 is cheaper by a bit 😅

Actually battery capacity doesn't mean the whole thing. Bigger battery means the weight of the car is heavier and the motor need more energy to move the car for the same distance. Bigger capacity also means you need more time to charge to 100%. and also based on the paper Polestar 2 efficiency is 5.8km/kwh as for Tesla is 6.9km/kwh so after all the calculation, P*2 covers around the same distance as Tesla with fully charged even P*2 has bigger battery capacity.

so far I watched a few youtube review on P*2 vs Tesla model 3 standard range, it seems that the range covers more or less the same but the charging time for Tesla is shorter.

Exactly you need to also see battery efficiency and in that aspect Tesla is probably the best
