Met my friend at Isteaks.

Aussie ribeye 250gm. Bit too fatty but good for its price. 28 nett.

Doneness right for medium and no chilled/frozen taste.

No wonder my friend said u can't get a better steak locally at this price point. Will need to go close to $50 for something better (unless u cook yourself)

Actually their chilli is not really spicy but then again some people’s tolerance for chilli is low.

If that’s the case, fried chicken, cabbage, cucumber salad, begadel (chicken cutlet), fish ball, soup, lady’s finger shld be non spicy. The beef rendang gravy is more flavourful than spicy so maybe can try a plate to see if can take it or not, this is one of their specialities. Enjoy

i used to eat very spicy and add chili to almost any food that goes into my stomach.

Until i ate the buffalo wings of level 35 and lausai the whole night, i changed my perception.

Adding chili is just another spice, made no sense to eat it real hot and not tasting the real food.

Lol desensitised Liao.

Actually for many years while growing up, I don't eat chilli to taste the original taste. Nowadays I eat chilli for some dishes but if don't have i also OK.

I made baked Miso salmon last night.

It was baked just nice then got some Miso salty taste. My wife see salmon, immediately go get 老干妈辣油 from fridge。 Then I say her. The salmon taste so nice, u go add spice for what... Lol

Agreed n actually chilli spoils the taste of the original food n western chefs are known to feel insulted if their meticulously prepared food is covered with chilli n that really pisses them off.

That said, some food needs chilli to bring out the taste in it esp bland tasting stuff like fried fish, certain vegetables etc but it has to be cooked together, not those pour our from chilli bottle type. Just my 2 cts as I know of many who has to put chilli on everything they eat so these guys may beg to differ
