Hi, I am considering getting a Gran Tourer 218i from PI. Would like to get some input from owners in regards to noise level, driving experience & consumption. Thanks

any recommendations for the following for the 2gt?

 

1) Paint Protection

 

2) Car mat and boot linen

Need coding but no need 3rd party (too costly to engage 3rd party), we can do it ourselves and have fun doing it. Just purchase the OBD connector and hook up to your laptop and download the BMW coding program from Website. Actually we have a Singapore BMW 2 series coding Watsapp group created by Master Chee Ming, I learnt a lot through him : D. He has a blog that teaches how and where to install program and code from scratch. I have done the followings:

 

1) Disable default ASS (Auto Start Stop) when engine starts --this is the best change to do

2) Air con in "M" whenever engine start (car remember last setting)

3) Air con setting change to ROW climate (basically for countries like Singapore)

4) Enable Digital Speed indicator

5) Door light On when reversing car

6) Disable welcome 3 gong sound (irritating to me...)

7) No need to hold lock door button for 3s to fold mirror after park car. Mirror fold instantly.

8) 5 times signaling instead of current 3x, some of our cars can do this while some cannot depend on batches of production. Mine wasn't able to do as the BDC does not have the selection..

 

 

There are plenty more features apart from the above..

Just checked and working fine for me. Had similar problem 1-2 months ago ... uninstalled the app that was downloaded from US App Store and installed the version from SG App Store and it worked after that.

 

You might want to consider trying that. Hope this helps.

Yours is IOS or Android?  My can do all the functions such as remote lock unlock etc but just not able to locate the car.

if I am not mistaken, in the ConnectedDrive menu, I recall that you need to enable the remote option for this function.

they have 9 months to clear their ex stock...based on past LTA data, the 1 Series, AT and GT sell by the dozens per month. no reason to panic now ba

So I used the $200 lifestyle voucher to purchase the BMW key case among other things, and found that it's not really to my liking. Anybody want to buy it off me? It's the black one. Just bought today, tried it on, didn't like it, put it back in the box.

holy cow...today's straits times published that the 216d price will swing by 30k upwards once the new emission scheme kicks in by 2018.

 

cureent 10k rebate removed. 20k surcharge imposed.

 

I wonder how will w petrol model fare.

 

even qashqai 1.2T kenna 20k surcharge as well
