Only gripe was that BMW Assistance could not offer any advise; straight call for Towing service only.

It's normal. Just need to press (or pump several times) and hold the brake hard and it will start again.

No need tow.

I like this car, one thing holding me is it doesnt come with cruise control, which I thought is a basic features nowadays

Within 1st 3 yrs, free.

 

For towing in Malaysia, it is towed to the nearest BMW AD in Malaysia for repair.  Towing & repair cost is covered by BMW Asia.

Ive always thought bmw very stingy with their features but i bought the AT and the amount of features is quite good compared to other brand with similar price pt.

 

The GT will have more stuff, especially the on aircon using the app, very useful for sg weather if u go out with hot sun. AT dun have that.

 

Abt cruise control, at first i was thinking abt it as well, but prolonged drive made me realise something

 

At high speeds of 80+ to 90, it actually rolls quite well with minimal pressing of accelerator. Might be due to heavier weight. My previous jap car once stop pressing it decelerates really fast. Got good, got bad, cos some argue engine break etc.

One interesting thing to note is what the product specialist told me when i collected the car. Not sure if every1 is aware but for the aircon, on the passenger side dial, press it to go to auto mode. 

 

What auto does is that it detects the cabin temp and tries to control it to you desired temp. So if we set it to 25, the air it blows out will be hotter or colder depending on surrounding temp. So don't be alarmed if the air blown out is not cold. 

 

Turning off the auto however will resut in the aircon blasting 25 degree (or whatever temp u set) air out. 

 

So those that have the tropical setting thingy and find the aircon not cold enuf can turn off auto and just whack out the desired temp. Seems cold enuf for me and my wife (but we scared cold one), so Im not sure if that helps.

Auto mode makes the air con noisier. i usually do not use auto mode.

i finally went and signed on the line, should be collecting my ride in the next few weeks :)

 

has anyone here gone to add stuff from elebest? which items are most worth it? looking at nav plus and active cruise control. but scared of voiding warranty, esp since the car has so many electronics 

 

also, any recommendations for coding? i have a few in mind, mostly the common ones.

 

am deciding whether to take the advanced eye or ask them to give me cash instead and look for another aftermarket camera. don't like the look of the advanced eye (big and squarish) and seems like it can only record for 6 hrs parking mode.

 

can someone share a picture of the key pls? time to go key cover shopping.

I don't think PML so generous.

Then again, this dont come with any caribena clip.

they give their own version which is way less chio

 

u can use the $200 bmw life style voucher to get the bmw version when u collect your car
