What is estimated depreciation per year? :D

i try and answer ...

BMW 216D GT

Price = $165,800

OMV = $25,000 (not officially known yet, so this is a figure that i am assuming)

ARF Payable = $27,000

CEVS Rebate = -$10,000

Actual ARF Paid = $17,000

PARF = $8,500 (50% of Actual ARF Paid)

Depreciation per year = 165000 - 8500 / 10 = $15,650 per year

I paid a deposit for this car 2 weeks ago. Here is the standard equipment list:

dfc2f607-9f92-4065-b0f8-d831f12469c3.jpg

The standard equipment list is not bad considering that this is a so called 'budget' BMW.

We like the 7 seats though it is quite tight in the 3rd row, but I think it is still bearable for short trips.

Will make a final decision after the test drive and see if we want to go ahead with the deal.

many thanks for this. did you managed to get "add-ons" to this via your SC?

No add-ons from SC, will discuss on that and also the trade in price for my current car if we are confirming the car after the test drive.

I placed a deposit because:

- it's fully refundable

- if you book early, you get to choose your preferred colour (exterior & interior)

- we need a 7 seater and somehow this car suits our requirements

- good equipment list IMHO

Anyway, let's see how the car drives first :)

I suggest you sell your current car yourself if they don't insist on your trading in. Good Luck and keeo us informed, thanks!

Btw, how many years of warranty & any free servicing?

How much $ is average servicing charged by PML?

Tks

I think standard 3yrs warranty.

servicing charge by PML for EO change is around $200+

unless need to change other things (can always do outside...don't say I say one)

they provide nice coffee

The spec look too good for this entry model 7 seater. >$30K is high likely.

But on a seperate note, why get this if you can get a full size MPV at just a few $K more? Odyssey 2.4 & Sharan 2.0T emgine spec and interior space will win the 2GT hand down...

the higher the omv, the better :)

badge different leh :P ... but honestly, odyssey and sharan are full-sized mpv whereas i need an occasional mpv i.e. probably only need 7 seats for 30 minutes a week. hence, looking at an occasional mpv instead.

odyssey ... i can't accept the current look, much prefer the older ones

sharan ... vw leh, will they still be around in 3-5 years considering the legal issues (joking)

You won't get the $7000 overtrade if you don't trade in your car to them. I will see what price they offer for my car and make a decision then.

You sure on this? Friend who also put a deposit down told me otherwise but then again sometimes these SEs tell diff stories eg his SE said the active tourer diesel version not available for booking yet but another SE said it is!!

Anyway, do check the market price n see whether they quote you fairly or not, good luck!!

I've never owned a Honda before, and I really don't like CVVT. Just personal preference.

No VW for me as well.

This will be my 4th BMW if I don't cancel the deal after the test drive, I'm happy with them so far, and I don't need a full size MPV daily. And this 216d GT seems to suits our requirements

$7000 overtrade means they buy your car at $7000 more than the 'market price' of you car. So you can't have the overtrade if you don't sell your car to them. But if the SE is desperate, maybe he will find other ways to pass this discount to you, I think.

Anyway it is quite troublesome (and sometimes risky) to sell your car to another dealer. If the difference is not too big, I will just negotiate with my SE and trade in to them. Been doing this for all my past cars.

The petrol active tourer luxury version OMV is $28.6k so my guess is definitely above $30k as well even though it's diesel.

I am looking at this MPV and research a bit. The luxury model cost about £27K in UK, while the luxury model of the VW Sharan cost about £37K. With the Sharan costing only a few thousand more in Singapore. I think the BMW is overprice or there is too much profit margin.

would you know how much is the sharan? online price list puts it at $181K after discount

There is a promotion for the Sharan event car at $168K now.

The car is used for a few days. But you will be still the new owner, not second hand. But not much color left.
