Hi bro

15 inch rims?

Re-use stock tires?

Can post pics pls.

Cant decide to stick to 15 and re-use stock tires or upgrade to 16.....

I am on stock 15" rims, only changed from steel to some cheapo taiwan rims provided by the PI as package.

Mileage now 4500 km + with 2 trips up north.

Tested till 150 km/h with full load, car still very stable with road noise on the louder side. But the Vtec power after 4k rpm very "song" when overtaking.

My opinion is 15" more than enough for this car.

On the part of space compared with vezel.

I brought my son at height 1.83 meter to sit at both and immediately have to forgo vezel as he hit the rear ceiling and leg room very cramp.

Shoulder room confirmed is identical for both shuttle and vezel, so as the engine too.

If you like to have a SUV heighten presence on the road, go for the vezel.

I went for shuttle due to the rear ceiling height, leg room and of course, the station wagon boot space.

Seen a couple of shuttle on the road and most of the time, the drivers are more to "uncle" level like myself who favoured practicality.

Seems vezel more for the younger hip driver, or those still young at heart.

End of the day, you have to sit in both to decide, buy what you need and like. No car will fit everyone and anyone.

Believe most don't own both vezel n shuttle for now right? So if I ask shuttle or vezel FC better overall, what's ur take?

should be shuttle. the taller vezel has more metal and thus weight.. further more the wheels are tires are bigger. these all add to a higher FC.

If FC is your concern, why not consider the Shuttle Hybrid? 34km/L on paper.

They tune down the power to achieve amazing FC. [laugh]

I not ready concern about FC. I more about space. From outside, I see vezel is quite tall as compare to shuttle. I went see vezel last dec. but not yet seen shuttle side by side.

Don't think I going into hybrid coz it is belong to cat B right? Unless cat B again drop to much lower than cat A.

Also I worry hybrid maintenance than normal build cat.

Boot space is important as I got children of 2.

Just my 2 cents worth,

I'm comparing between vezel x and shuttle hybrid for my next ride as my family is expanding hence a normal sedan car is not enough for my family (2 kids, 2 elderly, 2 adults)

From what I understand, the rim size does not really matter on FC, it is the tyre size that matters. Larger rim size means more metal less rubber hence better stability when cornering but this is a family car hence i believe no one is gonna do cornering at 90km/hr with this car

Safety is the next concern where vezel has 8 airbags and shuttle only have 2. I have considered shuttle hybrid instead. Shuttle hybrid has 6 airbags and the features are comparable with vezel x.

With FC 20km/l vs 32km/l, the next thing in concern will be the hybrid battery. I heard a honda civic hybrid changed the battery twice in a short span of 1 year and the price of a hybrid battery ain't cheap. However, in the vezel thread, there are drivers with vezel hybrid that have been driving for a year+ without any issue. Maybe any shuttle hybrid owner can share on this?

And shuttle hybrid is a CAT A car but not sure about the OMV as it will matter for downpayment (40% or 50%)

[confused] The seating arrangement for a sedan/Vezel/Shuttle is the same except for more boot space from the Shuttle... There's no way to fit all 6 too unless you're not using child seats.

I have 2 kids, 1 is below 1 years old and other is above 3 years old. hence the problem is when i drive with 6 people, I have to keep the child and infant seats at boot. Vezel might not fit in but Shuttle will sure fit in

What if the PI that offer warranty close shop? Warranty void?

Buy from PI is cheaper than AD. The different of the cost is like warranty. You pay higher cost at AD for their high end show room, sales person & also the warranty.

Depend which PI.

More ex ones havè warranty covered by others that are bigger companies.

Eg. one of the PI get Tan Chong to cover warranty so that warranty is no longer PI business and you don't need worry that if PI close shop your warranty disappear.

Hi Supercharlie - I think you should consider an MPV, Your kids will grow in a few years time. A new car will be with you for 10 years.

If you frequent going out with 4 adults - 2 kids, MPV can last the distance and the needs in future.
