Any workshop recommendation for sound proofing? Am thinking of sound proofing my K3 bonnet, firewall, dashboard and wheel arcs.

This is where I get all my car hifi.

Go to Sin Ming branch and ask for Charles - he is a very nice guy and very knowledgeable.

I just changed from S class to Korean car. Was used to the quietness and find the Korean car noise kinda discomfort. Am thinking of investing on sound proofing to improve the comfortness.

Imo if soundproof can make a Korea car come close to Merc standard than Merc itself wont deem worthy.

Material/structure/layer of glasses etc all play significant part in soundproof a ride.

Wasn't expecting the same results. This is my first time owning a Korean car and was surprised by the noise level.

among many sound proofing features, the glass alone of  S-class  is douleb glazing , how to compare a noamal car to a S-class? did you also notice that  there is an additional strip of rubber seal  under the door  of your S class? that would help sound proof the car futher. You dont get to see that in most of other cars other than the basic rubber seal.

A few Years back,i overheard a Brand new Altis Owner complaining to Borneo Motor Servicing Advisor, saying His Car was noisier than His Friend over 10 Years old Lexus LS430,the Service Advisor...shocked by such question, said will do whatever is needed.

Pretend to be shocked so as to get rid of a uneducated customer? 😂

No wonder S class so slow and thirsty.

I am going strip all the unnecessary sound proofing so I can be first at the lights and save money on petrol.

This is what I did to my Sienta last time.

From bare metal to full sound proofing. As what the other brothers mentioned, it adds weight to the whole car and the effect is really minimum (even to the extend I change quiet tires). I spent $1.5k for the sound proofing and feel that it is not worth it. In the olden days, want a quiet car, get a Lexus/Camry. Nowadays, get a electric car sua. Confirm 100% quiet.

Just from my personal experience.
