Unclebutcher 2nd Gear January 31, 2019 Share January 31, 2019 I received 15000 points from KMC when I bought my new vehicle which translates to $540 fuel. I think BM on and off had this promo as well. Would like to maximize my points and just wondering how it works Am I able to get the full discount for credit cards when paying with points? E.g. HSBC/Citi gets 4% extra instant discount Hence if I pump $47, will I get 14% off i.e price of $40.42 and pay $40 by points and 42c by card, or are CC discounts ineligible when part-paying with points? ↡ Advertisement

SGCMHello 4th Gear February 2, 2019 Share February 2, 2019 To max your shell points, redeem $40 worth of petrol with shell points and pay balance with HSBC. Do not redeem $10 worth of petrol, not worth the points. During promotion on their groceries, they allow you to use little shell points to change groceries. The promo now is 450 points for umbrella rice and a bottle of oil. Anyway, their point system and discount are not the most attractive, it’s their Petrol that is good, especially Vpower. I go there for their Vpower, there is no equivalent.
