They .. both sides.. wanna chop chop conclude things before liao ma conne back stir again. 🤣

Talking about the devil, the devil advocate just formed a new Govt to stir again, he never tired of sitting still b4 he finally calls his day, one thing I do know, whatever he does is up to no good- For Malaysia politics and Singapore's propaganda. Simply his opinion and action differs without intention. As Singaporean, we do not fear him, I only quiver over his intention to create tension due to his past history with S'pore PM and Ministers.- Citizens suffer nia

In true word, every action is an Act of True Intention of his part.

Meaning SG fork out 61%, JB 39%.

We pay more to benefit Johorians more, make it easier for them to come in here for work & studies, and for Sinkies to go over to spend SGD. Depot moved to JB, jobs created in JB.

On the surface, all I can see is that its obvious Malaysia side stands to benefit more from this and yet we're paying a lot more.

Can someone explain to me where else does SG stand to gain from this? Make it easier for Sinkies to retire in JB next time, GLCs to earn from this project?

Quick access to larger pool of cheap labour. Singapore's growth has all along been predicated upon a pool of cheap labour. The pool used to be a local one -- daily-rated workers doing municipal work like road and estate cleaning, mechanics, plumbers, aircon technicians, etc. Now it's largely a foreign one. No other country allows people from neighbouring countries to come in at start of day, work, and then leave at end of workday. World first!

We can always remove all these labours.  How many SME can survive then?

We always emphasize cheap.

We never emphasize of value.

SINGAPORE - The first civil contract for the construction of the Johor Baru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link, a rail shuttle service between the two countries, was awarded on Thursday (Nov 26).

Under the $932.8 million contract, Penta-Ocean Construction, a company currently working on the Bright Hill and Orchard stations on the Thomson-East Coast Line, will begin work on parts of the connection in the first quarter of next year, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said.

The contract covers the construction of the RTS Link Woodlands North station - the Singapore terminus - tunnels and the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) building co-located in Woodlands North.
