SZ_ford 5th Gear January 4, 2019 Share January 4, 2019 Thanks bro I was hoping anyone with field experience to share looking at weight, rigidity and price all 3 are reputable brands. Maybe u can try googling for their weight and the lightest (maybe most costly as well) rim might attract u the most

chubbs Clutched January 18, 2019 Share January 18, 2019 (edited) Thanks bro I was hoping anyone with field experience to share looking at weight, rigidity and price Mostly rigidity and weight have a positive effect. The more rigid you want, the more materials it is needed, the more weight, assuming the same manufacturing method. To reduce weight w/o sacrificing the rigidity, you need different manufacturing technology and hence more expensive. From your choice, all are cast, as what someone else posted. OZ and Enkei uses flow forming to reduce the material need (hence weight). Rays according to the website don't. So assuming it all are the same width, OZ and Enkei should be lighter. In general, all of they should be roughly about the same price too. Edited January 18, 2019 by chubbs

I had a OZ Leggera HLT 18x8 and it weighs around 8.5/8.6kg and supports max weight of 550kg Bought another Rays 57Transcend 18x8.5 and it weight around 8.4kg and supports max weight 650kg. Personally I wouldn’t buy another OZ again
chubbs Clutched January 23, 2019 Share January 23, 2019 Not necessary.. I had a OZ Leggera HLT 18x8 and it weighs around 8.5/8.6kg and supports max weight of 550kg Bought another Rays 57Transcend 18x8.5 and it weight around 8.4kg and supports max weight 650kg. Personally I wouldn’t buy another OZ again I think you mean 690kg which is the VIA standard. Nonetheless I get what you mean. It's true OZ has a lower load rating. Congrats on the Rays purchase. Rays standards actually exceeds the Japanese safety standard!
Roberttan 5th Gear January 24, 2019 Share January 24, 2019 Not necessary.. Personally I wouldn’t buy another OZ again thank you for sharing the info , is amzaing you go even further to read the Max weight the wheel can carry. assuming base on the OZ max weight 550kg , so for 4 wheels on your car is = 2200kg , i will say this wheels are not suitable to be use on heavier car light MPV which can easily carry over 2200kg with FULL load. so be careful when choosing your New wheels especially the Heavy car . Columbian78 6th Gear January 24, 2019 Share January 24, 2019 Rays is the parent company and has many sub brands under it. 57 is Gram Lights and the specs you stated are very good despite being cast wheels. I am using Rays also and never used Oz before. But I do like Oz cos they make very good wheels and offer good value for money. And they are 1/3 owned by our Singapore company YHI.
