13177 Hypersonic November 20, 2018 Share November 20, 2018 The short-term parking rates so expensive?! 4 cents per minute for the first 90 minutes and $5 per 30-minute block thereafter!
Kopites Supersonic November 20, 2018 Share November 20, 2018 How about other terminal carpark rate? Probably T1 want to discourage loitering at airport.
Wormee 5th Gear November 20, 2018 Author Share November 20, 2018 The short-term parking rates so expensive?! 4 cents per minute for the first 90 minutes and $5 per 30-minute block thereafter! Probably they wanted to control the traffic flow? My guess is the discourage drivers who park more than 90 minutes to parking at B2 and B2M. The rates for B3 to B5 are flat 4cents/min which is $2.40 an hour so if you think that you are going to stay longer than 90 minutes better go lower levels lol. Jewel mah. Spent so much to built its time to collect earnings back.

Other Terminals rates are the same with 4 cents per minute. Do note that there are no daily cap now so a full day parking will set you back a good $57.60 except the T2 South open car park (which is near the VIP complex) with a rate of 3.5 cents per minute but capped at $35 per 24 hour. Spent so much to built its time to collect earnings back. Ya lo, they sure need to get back the money spent on building this Jewel and also the upgrading works done in T1. There is no free lunch in the world. Other Terminals rates are the same with 4 cents per minute. Dilemma 5th Gear November 20, 2018 Share November 20, 2018 The rates are as follows. For longer term parking u can go to B3 to B5 levels as the B2 is only for short term parking, for eg dining or picking up/dropping off. http://www.changiairport.com/en/transport/airport-parking.html T1 Car Park Short-term Parking (B2M and B2) First 90mins $0.04/min Subsequent 30mins or part thereof $5/30mins General Parking (B3 to B5) $0.04/min

Is this T2 South open car park very far from the terminal? It is just next to the Car Park 2A. Usually u make a u-turn after entering Airport Boulevard, then turn left into Car Park 2A right? Instead of turning left, u drive further forward keeping right the South Car Park is just on your right.

Not must be cheap or free la, but at least reasonable rate lo. But $5 per 30 mins block really ! Think even CBD area parking also not this high?! It is just next to the Car Park 2A. Usually u make a u-turn after entering Airport Boulevard, then turn left into Car Park 2A right? Instead of turning left, u drive further forward keeping right the South Car Park is just on your right. Dont remember the exact location of the entrance to carpark 2A?! Maybe next time when i go there, i lookout for this South open carpark. Edited November 20, 2018 by 13177
Zxcvb Turbocharged November 20, 2018 Share November 20, 2018 I believe the short term parking rates is to encourage higher turnover for the lots. Meaning the car won't be parking long, so getting a lot here will be higher. They sort of penalise you if you park longer than 90mins. If you are undecided to stay longer or shorter, then I'd suggest park at the general parking. ↡ Advertisement
