Even though deadline is 2030, but some people might not want to buy a full petrol car now since 10 years down the road, you don’t know what will happen. Wait they implement something that owning a full petrol is very costly?!

That's not going to happen... Singapore usually applies new ruling forward and not retrospectively lar...

SkyActiv Engines from 13 Years ago..already known as Lean Burned with High Compression..so low Emission.

Yes but also full of NOx emissions actually... due to the extremely high compression ratio and hence combustion temperature... that's what the European brands tried to do with small capacity petrol engines with turbo chargers, but used petrol to cool the pistons resulting in a high amounts of unburnt fuels being ejected from the exhaust... until the EU clamped down... not sure how the SkyActiv engines meet the emissions of NOx actually... perhaps that's why Mazda also added mild hybrids...

The Corolla Altis 1.6 L engine is also CEVS Band B mah... no fancy high compression lean burn tricks...

These stupid ''Mild Hybrids'' like those on Conti Cars like BMW & Mercedes Benz, long term use,if spoil, the Repair costs should be over $10,000, @Gnahpis it true.?

Not sure, but given the small battery capacity and city driving where it is possible to deplete the battery almost completely every day, it would mean using up the charge/discharge cycles before the 10 year mark is up... any clear research to show that it is so? Mild hybrids have been sold in EU for a long time now... so far it hasn't blown up in the face of the European manufacturers and some of the Japanese ones who adopted it - Suzuki & Mazda...

Malaysia still launching facelift of this generation in 2025.

Thailand doesn't seem to have any news of a completely new model yet...

On a similar note, seems like the non-Altis Corolla Sedan is not being sold by PIs anymore on SGCM? I keep seeing brand new taxis with the new Corolla Sedan Hybrid on the road though...

They're actually the same identical car... there are 2 versions... the SEA/Asia/Europe version is called the Prestige... while the US version is called the Sporty... just some differentiation according to Toyota's market research... at least that is what is stated in the Wikipedia article for the Toyota Corolla E210... looking at how the Alphard and Vellfire were marketed in Japan, probably true lar...

This spec can consider avante hybrid 1.6L Cat A without any detuning

Actually the Avante Hybrid is already detuned lar... a normal 1.6L engine can reach 129 bhp mah... if you look at the specs on SGCM, the 1.6 L engine puts out 103 bhp while the motor adds 43 bhp... so the total is 129 bhp in total... quite clearly the motor doesn't put in its full power output at all engine speeds, hence the average figure of 129 bhp...

In general, hybrids should produce enough power to be in Cat B in our system... it's quite clear that many of the ADs are speccing the cars to meet the Cat A power limits in order to have a car to sell in this category... which is also why Tesla and BYD can bring in Cat A compliant models... obviously detuned models...
