Neutral Newbie

Hi All,

I am new to this group. Wondering if anyone has replace the stock head unit? I have one from my previous car (2DIN) but the size seems like smaller. Not sure if anyone knows where can I get a frame to “fill up those gaps”?

thanks in advance.

Hi all experts

BM is providing premium coating for my new 2021 Altis.

Is this sufficient or additional ceramic coat is required to be done?

Hi

Are Gen 11 17” stock rims same as Gen 12 17” stock rims? Cos both using different size tyres. Gen 11 - 215/45/17, Gen 12 - 225/45/17.

Looks the same design. Should be the same.

Same width rims can fit slightly differing width tyres.

Hi big bros, going to buy a COE Altis soon, do you all think Altis is really uncle car as compared to Honda (Honda Fit/Civic) as compared to Toyota? (Vios/Altis)

Would like to know what you guys think, thank you very much

No need to bother on what other people think lo, buy what you like. 😄

A stock Toyota or Honda won't turn any heads, but will probably be on the more reliable spectrum of the COE cars...

But yes, buy what you like or what you can afford.

If you really want to be more sure then rent one month and try lor... Some rentals for 2020 models are $1k/month, u try to nego ask if can get the same price if you don't get the 1 year package.. .

If I have money, I will buy what I like.

If I have no money, I will buy what I can afford.

If i have no confidence, I will buy what people will think of me. 😅😅

@Ken1898

i bought the last gen Elegance model. I was thinking I will keep for 10years so ok to spend a bit more for the higher spec Elegance. But after driving for a while. seriously dont think the extras are important to me , e.g. bigger rims, electric seats etc. Actually I dislike the bigger rim which is easy to scratch o against the kerbs. The only thing is the leather seat but at times BM will throw in leather seat for the standard model.

don't bother to consider resale value... inflation will make the scrap value irrelevant anyway after 10years. 2nd hand car buyers are price sensitive usually .

of course, driving an Elegence 'feels better' (face) but then, who cares.

i dun know the exact details.

but new car under 1 or 2 year. under LTA  law, cannot hammer and spray back. all damage parts must be replace with new parts.

( advice u to double check the details with your insurance and LTA)
