Good info. All these model are in Sin. Buyers/owners & Taxi do take note to find out more.

These recalls could be those with GDi engines while SG ones are MPI engines. And Korean make taxis here are diesels.

Saw the Youtube video. Only US models affected and they are made in USA. The US factory only supply to US market. The rest of the world no need worry because they get the Made in Korean version which are not affected.

Turbocharged

Many ppl still think Hyundai and Kia are still made in South Korea?? They have production plants all over the world. Spare parts also widely available. Most major automotive brands are globalised already. Even Meiji milk sold in Singapore are made in Thailand.

Made for USA has to be extra vigilante, bcuz they will come after you.

Make in Korea...hmmm....maybe can sweep under the carpet.

Which is better ?

Wait a minute.  There was never a recall leh.

It is a demand for recall from some so called Greedy Lobby group lor.

Until NHTSA issue any statement on this matter, there is no recall lor

And Until today, my Kia Carens Diesel is in good standing ........ heeeee .....

Best got recall, can get something changed for FREE.

The only consistency is fire across the stated model. What is lacking in this demand for recall is the location where the fire originates. Without a common cause, it is difficult to justify a fault in the vehicle.
