A shoutout to @Ct3833  - for helping

My pump system tripped... wasn't sure if it was the pump or the cables..

I thought it might have been the cables, but it turns out that the pump itself was leaking current... needed his pro help to find out

He also helped me install a new UK plug and made sure the connection was waterproof.
I also bought a waterproof cover and will get that in due course...

Luckily my pond uses two pumps, so I could continue using one first - the pump is pretty powerful

My old aquarium pump also leaked current but without tripping the elcb. Halida brand. I guess they are all like that!

PS recently my biggest koi was very sluggish and not eating. Went to the koi farm to seek advice and medication. Ended up solution was to starve the bitch (a female) for a few weeks to let it absorb its eggs! Now back to normal.

So I found these online to secure the switch on my UV lamp that is exposed to the elements, hopefully this prevents shorting

The big rains recently causes my pond to overflow, but thank God no fish swam out... so I reckon the one that did might have got the current from the pump and reacted..

I won't buy from those places.... Once I bought from a "listco" place, put in 2 small ones ended up many existing big ones died. They brought diseases/parasites with them. Also not nice one....

Your water level is very high. The fish can easily jump out, sometimes they do when spooked like during thunderstorms/lightning. I lost quite a few like that.

You can consider stacking big natural rocks around edge to form a barrier. (I did and so far no koi lost to jumping)
