be wary of the shelters that you like to “adopt” a stray from. Some breed them for the sake of selling it to dog lovers who like believe it’s better to adopt them. They in turn charge fees to take the dog.

 

Try telling them you got strays to give them and they turn their nose away.

 

Dog adoption should not involve money or minimal at most.

 

Regular shelters have the adoption fee to cover the cost of vaccination and sterilizing.  This in-kind help to rotate the funds for the next dog they bring it. IT can be anywhere from 250 to 450.

 

There are some backyard or home breeders that sell it(Adoption fee) 500 and up.

 

There are several registered shelters for both SS and pure breed. Google and you can find nee help Can pm me.

 

Personally, i love our Singapore specials they are hardier and smarter.  And now many are coming in HDB approved sizes.

Almost confirmed getting the dog. Going down to see the pup on Tuesday. Probably handover in one or two weeks time.

Not really lah. I think some people are like me, want to give a dog/pet like name. Rather than something that mimics a human.

My dog's name is also something that won't be mistakened for a human's name.

A lot of work one lah. It's like raising another kid. Except this kid will always be 2 years old.
