Singapore Reckless Drivers Part VI

They only endanger themselves at most. How to endanger the cars? The cars hit them, the drivers also don't get hurt.

What mentality? Not cycling on the yellow lines because its slippery?

If other vehicles didn’t hit them, and got into accidents when suddenly have to avoid them, the drivers don’t get injured? Other commuters don’t get affected?

If the roads are slippery, then don’t use the roads. Use the cycling lanes. If not, why should the Govt waste money building these Cycling lanes if cyclists don’t use them?

Not every road got cycling path, not sure about the one in the video..

Have to face it that cycling/cyclist is not for everyone, some detest them, some advocate them.. Wait a few more decades until cycling paths are fully segregated from road then see what other complains will come in

Don't waste time explaining to him unless he is willing to get his ass on the road with 2 wheels.

Won't have to suddenly avoid them unless driver is dreaming or not treating the cyclist as another vehicle. If you overtake the cyclist like how you would overtake a motorcycle, unlikely they will cause an accident.

I didn't know got other cycling lanes other than the one at tanah merah.

By then, the human powered ones will komplain the ebikes too fast on the cycle path, ebikers komplain manual bicycles path hogging.

The rest of us komplain our tax money goes to subsidise (buiding the paths) this group of non-road-tax-paying commuters - no revenues for public transport, no road tax, no insurance.

Manual bicycles are ok for the cycling paths.

Just ban those nuisance ebikes/escooters for good.

See what I meant? First complaint about bike path! [laugh]

Definitely not first. Got people complain before about shared usage with foot traffic and prams.

Right or not @Davidtch? [laugh]

(I think it was he that mentioned it in an old thread. My apologies if I shot arrow at the wrong person. :D)

Likely to be me.

Shared foot path is another half f effort. Pedestrian juz encroach into cycle path. How to ride >20km/h?

Go to East Coast Park to see it.

By the way, shared path also got speed limit. Can’t cycle fast.

Compulsary 5,6,7 or 100 star also wont help if the driver drives like an shole. The merc and bus accident shows this is obvious. All this safety gadgets just make some drivers complacent......

Actually I'm a huge advocate for cycling or PMDs, whether electric or fusion powered.. anything alternative from traditional transportation..

Let's see what happens after the law kicks in next year

None of these cars have emergency autonomous braking?

Only reason anyone would wanna run away from an accident it’s because they are driving illegally, no1 in their right mind would leave the scene.
