It is the most dangerous place to cycle.

Blindspot blocked by A pillar. Most likely noticed him very late and apply emergency brake but slightly too late already and still hit the scooter with little impact.

 

This man and with young daughter is very lucky to escape serious injuries.

A-pillar will usually will block the driver's view when a pedestrian is coming from the right to left, not from the left to right in this manner.

So who wrong?

1. E scooter suppose to dismount when corssing a junction, 2. Did I also see the pedestrain signal was already red?

The e scooter was wrong.

3. driver fails to observe safety of other road users. Driver was wrong.

So both are wrong, TP got money from both side.

Not just B&B but a lot of basic spec from premium brands also do not come with collision avoidance unless one pays more for it.
