Accident scammers are still roaming our roads, be aware. A good car camera is still your best defence.

"I was driving along Rangoon Road towards Tessensohn Road when this lady ran across the road and wanted to lie in front of my car. She must have seen my dash camera and move on to the next car. Then she decided to go and do it to the back car following me.

Happen on 29/10/18 @ 1950hrs. Best actress award! Drive safely

Looking at it the bus entered the yellow box first, if the mpv kept in the lane he would hit the bus. If he hit the bus while doing the side maneuver he would be sideswiping himself.

To me I would see it as an indication of fault as he had ample time to stop. The situation would be revered had he entered the yellow box before the bus exited and he got hit by the bus exiting out of the bus bay imo.

my take on this,

bus suppose to give way to oncoming traffic and not chiong out just because LTA nurtured them to do so.

The bus caused unnecessary slow down of traffic flow and maybe also accidents to happen.

Nowadays, the expectation from Bus Captain that is filtering out from bus bay is to just drive out, and their expectation to all other drivers are; you have to stop and brake for them to filter, see the "signal right and immediate drive out" driving manner very often on the roads, you just have to give way, so anticipate them to do so often, prepare to stop when you see a bus at the bus bay, with or without give way to bus yellow box there! -_-

If you look at the rear of every buses, there is a "Please Give Way" sign .... :a-aggressive:

Furthermore, the bus already starts to turn into the yellow box when the kwai lan van speed up closer.

Maybe the driver last minute notice that it was a 'king kong' he against with & not a Honda Fit and that's why he turn right to avoid the bus.... :secret-laugh:

As drivers we complain a lot when others don't give way (or worse speed up to block us once they see the signal lights blinking). But we don't expect ourselves to give way and be gracious enough.

It takes two hands to clap, once everyone decides to be gracious then there is no need for Singapore Kindness Movement and what not!

Agrees with you

Driving in Perth and Japan can see great different in their driving and ours... ^_^

Driving in Hokkaido for eight days and didn't hear any long horning at all. You signal, the rear vehicle will give way. You give way, the front driver wave thanks.

Driving in Hainan Island a nightmare ....  :scared:

Horning non stop, no one give ways to you. They only have one motto "Who Dares Win" kind of driving. :yuush:

Looking at it I think the bus initially thought the van was gonna give (thanks to the large gap left by the van for whatever reason), when he saw the van driver speed up he decided to slow down. To be fair I thinks its quite rare cause most bus drivers would continued to push out which would have confirmed cause a langa incident.

In this case I don't think the bus actually chionged out, the bus was already starting exit before the van was anywhere close to the bus giving him ample time slow down except he just accelerated to cut off the bus off when he realize it was coming out.

Reminds me of those joker who keep a large gap on the right lane on the expressway and then when someone tries to cut in / overtake they step on it.

Haha I would try to provide video and witness testimony to sway it in the bus favor lol yes it seems quite bo liao  [laugh]

Shouldn't they know that most cars in Singapore have dash cams now?
