Its the first time coming to Kutchan for onsen so I didn't know what to expect of this ryokan here's the room

I didn't know there are 2 rooms, living and bedroom. Here's the very large living room

And then there's the bedroom

Both rooms overlooking the majestic Mt. Yotei

Private onsen. Was warned we need to add cold tap water as the onsen water is coming directly from the mountain undiluted and about 52degC (a comfortable temperature will be 40-42degC)

The entire afternoon was spending time in the onsen and the balcony chilling in front of the beautiful Mt Yotei

And then its the evening and time for dinner

Second day at the ryokan we went out for some soba

Very local feeling very delicious

On the way back to the ryokan passed by this amazing scenery 

Back to the ryokan continue relaxing enjoying the view and more hot spring

Next day before checking out of the ryokan we had another amazing breakfast

So finally it was time to leave the Kutchan ryokan

Here this is me having bak chang (肉粽) or pork rice dumpling with tea for breakfast a form of participating in this festival

A beautiful restaurant near home

Recently went to a very beautiful restaurant near my home, its rustic but next to a paddy field that made it special. This is a very local type of restaurant.

My 785 baht (S$31) meal with 2 big bottles of beer of course

Just back to hotel, had too much drink, its bloody cold and craving for something hot, no choice, gotta go to convenient store

Two weeks ago went to an MK suki restaurant for lunch
