Yes, cos they have to register the car in your name... once they do so and you don't pay up, it will be very troublesome for them... especially to recover the car if you default on the full payment...

Cool, thanks!

Hi all! Super new here. Booked the Avante S trim last Sunday and got my COE on last Wednesday. As my package doesn’t include free servicing, is it worth to apply for the yearly service package at komoco?

Hey we're the same! 8888 angbao! Which color did you get? :)

I'm also considering the yearly package, but I'll probably decide further down the road since theres 1k and 10k servicing package included.

Same thoughts too! I’m getting the blue color. Waiting for shipment!

Seems like many get the blue... is it a colour option that is readily available?

Servicing package don't need to buy lar... that's my opinion. Cos you can buy your own oil and get a mechanic to change for you... also buy the genuine parts to get your mechanic to change them... but if you don't have a reliable mechanic you know then you may want to consider the package... it's really a lot more expensive...

Get the yearly package to avoid any warranty issues. Those who tell you buy oil, buy this buy that and service outside, is ultimately not responsible for your car.

think so too. if the difference is not so huge can stick to AD for servicing. I once lost some items servicing outside.

No point skimping money for servicing. Warranty is very important

The Blue is actually nice. Brings out the sportiness of the car. Too bad the Intense Blue will be replaced with a darker Teal Blue (which I personally think is a nice color too).

Hi there! Standard package which is the 5 years unlimited mileage warranty, car cam (front and rear), carpets, magnetic sun shade, solar film, 1k and 10k servicing. I got the car at 74k. Managed to haggle for additional 6 mth road tax.

First time buying car, hopefully this was a good nego.

Should I feel pressured for time? Or is it normal to take my time to test everything in detail?

I think my nego skills lose leh. Price quotes also 74k

I was only offered front and back cam, solar film, Carpet and sunshades.

Die die say no servicing or road tax discount cos alr got $8888 angbao :( can share any haggling tips? I go try again tmr. Haha

Whoa swee! Congrats. 1.98% is great, considering its such a short tenure.

Got used car to trade in or not? If have, try to bargain the price for the used car to be higher.

The items your SE offer to you are more or less the standard items.

What keyholders are you referring to? My SE did not mention. Collecting car before end March ... hopefully.

Thanks.

It is part of the "welcome" package for all new car owners. Umbrella, bag, 2 x key case etc.

The front 3m solar film given is also not very good. But heard that the rebate for not taking the solar film given is quite low so up to you to decide if solar film quality is important

Stop your fearmongering! Don’t you know that the ADs are not supposed to void your car warranty if you choose not to perform the car servicing in-house anymore? This is true since 31st Dec 2017 and also retroactively applies for cars already purchased but with the warranty still active.
