I don't see any difference between 5 or 10 yr renewal when trading in. Dealers will quote u paper value for sure.

When used cars are getting paper + body by dealers, do you think COE cars will be in better state? Certainly not.

I was wondering.. if we renew the COE for 5 or 10 years, in between we wanna sell and change car, will there be any value to it? Will dealers want to take in?

Main diff is actually that you must come up more money with 10-yr and many people may have to take loan so there is also interest...

But then if your car start to give problem at 13th, 14th year and you wanna scrap you wld have pay more

You'll get the balance of the COE back...

Renew 10 years if you want to sell.

Either you can drive it longer, or sell at higher values.

Renew 5 years might as well drive until scrap.

For me, started off planning to drive it for 5 more years. But then thought that if no major problems arises, can continue driving until it decides enough is enough. If any major problem comes up during the 3rd or 4th year, I will still have the option to spread out the repair cost over 6 or 7 years. More flexibility.

So long as CAT B COE < 42000 then cheaper to renew in Sept when COE expire.

Anything > 42000 then need to renew using August PQP before Sept.

Mine expiring in End Sept too.

What car are you driving? Let's go LTA together in Sep hahaha

I see... so it’s best to go for 10 yr coe renewal. But I still see SgCarMart dealers selling cars already renewed with 5 yr COE.

Carbon82. Good job.

Easy to monitor Coe & my bid.

Still sad AD place my 2nd bid at $25,001...looks like have to wait for bid no. 3

What is the package you sign? Is it guaranteed bid or non-guaranteed bid?
