If I drive non-sports car I would like it to be black/white.

If I drive sports car I'd like it to be flashy color or even chrome.

When younger the color of my Subarus were blue color.

 

Then the Merc was grey, and latest one Jag was initially blue again.. but changed to red after my little girl persuaded me.

 

Come to think of it, red actually is nicer

Under different lighting it can look having with slight orange tint to chilli red

you must be in your late 30/early40s.

 

can't imagine late 40driving red.

That you will have HDB/landed when u retire, have many grandchildren, more than enough CPF but cannot take out till 65yr old.... :D

Just wanted to see what the popular colours are nowadays and the reason you choose the colour. Or maybe it's your wife or children or parents that chose it for you? Did you regret getting the colour?

My first car was black, the colour choice is secondary because first used coe car can drive and work well good already. It always looks dusty but after a few drive. When come back from Malaysia trip it becomes grey. After rain, water spots are also obvious but black is always cool.

Second car was white. Wife chose the colour because of the popularity of Apple products 8 years ago. but after a few years can see that it starts to become a bit more yellowish. Maybe we should have waxed the car more often. Can't really see dust and water spots but sides of the car are always visibly dirty.

 

Current car is metallic blue. This time I chose the colour. I like that you can't really see when it's dirty other than bird shit, but it seems to look more dull compared to white when you didn't wax for a few months. Also because it's metallic, it's really difficult to touch up as it will look obvious.

 

Do share your thoughts on your current ride.

 

 

Below is the picture taken by my amused wife that inspired this post. Looks like many people are influenced by Apple products.

People tell me it's easy to maintain. And I guess so, if only because the 'cheetah spots' that appear all the time are harder to see from a distance.
