Car colors, what does it say about the owner...

Since @kdash requested this topic 2 days ago, I shall open a new thread for this topic. 

 

Recently there has been a discussion about certain colors describing the demographics of the drivers.

 

It has been perceived that colors like gold, champagne, etc are associated with ah peks or old uncles these days.

 

Colors like white are more popular than black these days, unlike in the past, people prefer black than white because black is easier to maintain.

 

What do you think?

 

 

What colors these days are really associated with:  

 

ah peks?

- gold, champagne

- black

- beige

- maroon

 

ah bengs?

- yellow

- blue with gold rims

- black

- red

 

And which other groups of people?

If those colours are associated with ah peks and ah bengs, then silver and grey are associated with lazy people who dont like to wash/maintain car?

not sure....but i compare with some other silver cars mine has a gold hue.......i bought silver because my favourite f1 car was the old mclaren mp40 that Hakkinen drove.......with red markings and choice decals sure looks nice....

imo no distinct demographic leh... maybe younger people tend to go for more funky colours...

so many white, silver, grey and black cars on the road. But I think the most common color is still white.

there's a spectrum of grey these days.

 

those light grey.....understated, easy going person

Dark grey......ppl who don't like black and want a bit of color but not flashy

graphite grey or ceramic grey.....very IN color now, seen it on several sports cars 

 

btw i drive a red car.
