Pool defeated Bayern 3-1 (agg 3-1)to make it 4/4 for EPL clubs in last 8 of UCL, first time this has happened as far as I can remember. Barca showed they will be no pushovers by whacking Lyon 5-1 (agg 5-1).

 

So the EPL clubs have to overcome 2 traditionally strong sides in Juventus and Barca, a young and energetic team in Ajax and a Porto side with experienced players if they want to go all the way. Let’s see how the draw pans out tmr night.

Seems that I am wrong as in 2008 n 2009, there were 4 EPL sides in UCL q/f as well so it’s not the first time this has happened. Hopefully the 4 EPL sides will avoid each other n win thru to the s/f n this time for sure it will be the first time ever that all 4 s/finalists are from the same country!

Arsenal n Chelsea made it to the UEL q/finals with 3-0 and 5-0 wins respectively.

EPL top 6 really steam rolling the opposition in Europe this season but it gets tougher with 2 Spanish, 1 each Italian, Portuguese, Czech, German clubs left in the competition.

 

The upset of the round was Inter Milan’s k/o by Frankfurt n also serial winners Sevilla’s defeat by Slavia Prague. Think Frankfurt will not want to face Arsenal or Chelsea after 3 of their compatriots got wiped out by EPL clubs in UCL!

I hope by fluke all the English teams are kept apart and all win then all the semi are English teams.

I won't be surprised if the "draw" pitted all the English teams against one another next stage . .   -_-

Less than 24 hours before the draw, the four two-legged fixtures have seemingly been 'leaked' on social media.

 

Manchester United and Tottenham are apparently set to do battle, while Pep Guardiola faces a reunion with Barcelona.

 

Liverpool have been paired with Ajax while the other tie sees Juventus come up against Porto.

 

The reality is the leaked draw will be a long way off the real thing - but that hasn't stopped the speculation.

juv and pools will be the favourite to make it liao.

But Arsenal half much harder.
