Full Champions League draw:

Schalke vs Manchester City

Atletico Madrid vs Juventus

Manchester United vs Paris Saint-Germain

Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund

Lyon vs Barcelona

Roma vs Porto

Ajax vs Real Madrid

Liverpool vs Bayern Munich

Think the EPL clubs bar Man United have a good chance to progress further.

I think round of 8 will have the following teams left:

Spain: Real Madrid, Barcelona

Italy: Juventus, Roma

France: PSG

Germany: Borussia Dortmund

England: Man City, Liverpool

The two Spain Teams had the easier draw.

Juventus will come out winners against Aletico Madrid but Roma vs Porto will be close but I am betting on Roma because of recent results in UCL.

France PSG will walk past Man United.

Germany Borussia Dortmund vs Tottenham will be close as well but I think Tottenham will likely be distracted as the fight for next season UCL spot is very intense. Between Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal, one will have to be contented with Europa League instead. As such, my money is on Borussia Dortmund.

Schalke will not be able to pose a threat against Man City. Liverpool against Bayern Munich is a good match up but with BM aging and in the midst of transitioning under a new manager, Liverpool's youthfulness and pace is likely to do damage.

Man United in great form and no more the underdog for tmr night’s UCL match vs PSG at OT. How things have changed from the Dec draw till now and with Neymar confirmed out and Cavani likely not to play due to injury, things look bright for the Red Devils.

Spurs vs Borussia Dortmund at Wembley the other UCL fixture for EPL clubs this mid week as the ties are spread out. Pool n City playing next mid week.

BATE Borisov vs Arsenal and Malmo vs Chelsea are the UEL ties this Thursday.

Yup, when the draws were made, I don't think anyone gave Utd a chance.

This PSG also really salty vegetable life, can have both Neymar and Cavani out at the same time. It's down to Mbappe only, plus Utd alumni de Maria, so it really doesn't look good for PSG.

Man United brought down back to Earth as the went down 0-2 to PSG at OT. Reality check for them as everything has gone their way since Solskjaer took over. It was frankly a one-sided match which no one expected esp since Neymar n Cavani out for the visitors. Pogba compounded the defeat by getting sent off late in the game. The electric speed of Mbappe troubled United all evening n he capped it with a goal on the hour mark.

Roma defeated Porto 2-1 in the night’s other UCL game.

Tonite, it’s the turn of another injury hit side, Spurs n let’s see if they too can emulate PSG by downing Bundesliga leaders Bourussia Dortmund.

So it shows that Man Utd can be beaten still.

PSG must be very confident now that they have brought home a 2-goal advantage - without 2 of their most important players. If Neymar and Cavani recovers soon, PSG might feel that this could finally be their year to land the elusive UCL, after spending so much $$ over the years.

If u watch the whole game and also comments from many pundits, it was men vs boys.

PSG had guile, pace n skill in abundance. They dominated midfield with Veratti and Marquinhos particularly outstanding and if u see the second goal by Mbappe, he was about 5 yds behind Bailly n Lindelof and could still overtake them to score. United had only 1 shot on target throughout the 90 mins.

Some of the problems under JM didnt go away just cos Solskjaer took over. Their central defensive is in severe need of overhaul as none of Smalling, Jones, Lindelof nor Bailly are up to mark IMO.

What Solskjaer has done is to:

1)play players in their correct positions

2)play an attacking game which is more suited to the players United have and its the United DNA afterall

3)give them encouragement and good Man Management

The above has transformed them to overcome their weaknesses.

All these 3 points JM failed to do n instead he:

1)instructed players like Rashford, Martial, Pogba amongst others to be tighter and reigned in their natural attacking flair

2)played pragmatic and instilled siege mentality at OT. This is JM DNA but it runs contrary to MU DNA

3)run players down, berated them sometimes publicly and always feel there is a mole in the dressing room.

Yup, JM was actually not wrong when he said his defence CMI and lamented they couldn't sign Maguire. He would have at least accorded more confidence in the team.

Let's see whether Solskjaer will keep the job, and if so, what will he do to shore up the defence. Being a striker, I'm not sure if he'll pay a lot of attention to the defence though.

PSG packed the midfield with 5 players, the battle was lost there

The loss of the two wingers early made a difference bec their replacements could not shine

Man Utd did not have mature stars who shine on the night

matches  frequently won or lost based on moments of brilliance

thought they should have gone all out to get CR when he was available

Maguire is also not the answer as he lacks speed.

The Man U defense weakness is slow centre backs that

cannot beat fast strikers.
