Card was misused... posted on hwz... Better not put too much money inside

WOT follows...

Got 2 post on their facebook also with people facing same issues......

Absolutely ridiculous. Card is not secure. Don't expect any money stolen to be refunded.

Boasts about having top-level security, but my card while PHYSICALLY on me had its credentials STOLEN by criminals in ANOTHER COUNTRY. Called in to dispute and request refund of stolen amount - YouTrip came back to me telling me they needed 4-6 months to verify what was obviously stolen money.

Refer to the email and photos attached. I was in Singapore while the money was stolen from USA and Portugal. In the span of a few hours (physically impossible). Multiple chargebacks from eBay and Netflix over the span of minutes. Obviously a criminal syndicate had gotten my card details (somehow?) and were testing the card. YouTrip was unable to return the amount stolen and would even charge $5 processing fee if chargeback failed. Mind you, I reported this on the SAME DAY just a few hours after discovering the theft. The delay in customer support was probably what led to the money being debited to the merchant (my understanding is that there is a delay time before credit card transactions are debited to merchants).

Very disappointed.

Here is the customer service email:

Hi (me),

Good morning to you and I apologise for the delay in replying to your email and unable to assist you promptly.

Based on what I can see from my end, the two transactions have been debited to the merchant. We would suggest that it will be a faster option to reach out to the merchant to refund the amount. Of course, we are able to assist to dispute this transaction for you, just that it may take a little while to obtain the refund.

For your convenience, I have attached the dispute form in this email if you would like us to proceed to dispute the issue for you.

We are sorry to hear that you have faced unpleasant circumstances and would want to dispute for your transaction incorrectly charged. We are here to guide you through the steps to perform the dispute.

Important notice

Please be advised to lock your card via YouTrip app if necessary

The investigation may take up to 2-6 months for the final decision

A chargeback processing fee of SGD$5 will be charged to your account if the dispute outcome is unsuccessful

Please also take note to submit the form within 45 days upon date of the transaction.

Awaits for your next update.

Regards,

(customer support)

That's why I will top up this card only as needed

This kind of pre-load card is easy to control. Not so easy for debit and credit cards liao.

Will deduct usd first then if not enough will automatically convert sgd to usd to pay the balance.

Happened to me when I used Euros recently.

Btw agoda usd rates are quite bad as I experienced recently.
