Pool is doing everything to stay in the title fight. This game has a draw written all over it  Pool dominated in the 1st half and should have done at least 1 more goal up.  Spurs came back in the 2nd and had a few good chances. It only took 1 chance and this came back to haunt them yet another GK error ... there have been quite a few this season which Pool benefitted.

It is an ugly win in all aspects but the 3 pts is all that matter at this stage. a double over spurs this season too which is quite impressive.  I think Spurs will be desperate for points now that is is level on points with Utd for 3rd/4th spot. Arsenal could overtake it if it wins its game on hand. Chelsea is 1 pt behind. The chase for 4th place is game on until the end of season.

Pool is currently on 79 pts after 32 games which is already impressive on all counts. Barring any drop off at this point, it is assured of the UCL placing and look set to run City to wire for the title.

Pool has a couple of tricky games to navigate [saints (A) and Chelsea (H) before the easier games come next.  City games are easier in early April before its last 5 games will be much tougher.  So, Pool need to hang tight for the time being, bring home the points and hope City drops some points towards the end of the run in.

Just to illustrate cit's tough fixtures from 10 Apr

- 10 April - Spurs (A) / UCL

- 14 April - Palace (A) / EPL

- 18 April - Spurs (H) / UCL

- 20 April - Spurs (H) / EPL

- 25 April - Utd (A) / EPL

VVD did brilliantly during the one Vs two situation. Suffocating sissoko with only one shooting option, if he managed to pass it to son it will be a very diff scoreline.

Look like VVD get a knock during the process. Is he injured?

At 1-1 , I think we went for the broke.

At times, only VVD n Matip were the only 2 defending. Spurs had 2-3 chances, especially the quick break when it was 2 V 1.

If Spurs were more clinical, it would be curtains!

VVD injured his ankle during that time when he was “sheparding” sissoko, blocking off the pass avenue to SON.

Spurs are known for taking quick free kicks with either a moving ball or 10 yards further.

To be fair, I don't see anything wrong with Spurs taking a free kick and the referee was on site to determine that it is legal to do so. Notwithstanding, the quick free kick taken by Spurs early this morning seems well worked and well taken, the ball found it's intended target and set off Spurs towards the goal.

city still in the lead. call not ours.

You have to be good for luck to be on your side. Whoever is sitting on top of the table will have the advantage. Game not played can have any outcome. Now Liverpool is having the advantage and pressure on manc in my opinion.

I don't see City dropping points. They will likely loose in CL and that will account for their 'losses' for their entire remaining fixtures.

So me think it will boil down to the very last match with City needed a win against Man U in order to win the EPL. Any less and with Liverpool win means Liverpool wins the title (assuming the current points extrapolated to the end).

I don't have a good feeling about Utd doing us the favour. At current form, i don't think they will struggle to qualify for top 4. If by then, they confirm their top 4 finish, then I guess, they won't be doing Liverpool any favour.

With the full backs pushed so high, it's more like 2 - 4 - 4
