Turbocharged

A much needed win, to keep pace with ManC.

Showed the will to come back after going a goal down (unjustly).

Could have had more.

Still a brace each from Mane n Firmino is much welcome.

Salah tried hard, was heavily involved but was kinda unlucky.

Firmino benefitting mainly.

The referee must be blind. Or there is a conspiracy theory to deny us.

Boys showed great character to come back from an early (unjust) goal.

Lallana played a role in both of our goals.

I admit that when saw his name as the starting 11, I was like “what the......”.

Still, it’s only half-time, the game is not won. We still have much to do.

Lallana is selected today believably to be more suited to EPL environment.

For UCL match against Bayern, aside the front 3,  Keita, or Shaqiri could be selected for starts depending 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, and Origi ahead of Sturridge for subs, just my thoughts

These are the kind of games that determine the belief and passion of the Reds. Started the game slowly and came into life after conceding an unfair goal. The weather was also a key issue as the strong wind conditions could have caused Matip to "fumble" with his clearance.

Salah may not have scored but he is near his best; taking on the full-backs and having better ball control.

I felt the collective team display was key to securing a vital win and keeping pace with the leaders.

Necessary that the win gives us the confidence to go into the next game knowing that one slim goal margin will be the deciding factor for the team to go into the quarter final.

We just need to continue the team to continue fighting the final few games of the campaign and cap off a good season which they had showed they can be up with the best!!!

YNWA, This Means More NOW!!!

Great  character being shown from the lads to remain calm and composed despite the early goal conceded. As much as I agree that Burnley's goal should not have counted, football games is largely about controversy and that's part and parcel of the game, Good thing is that we did not panic and scored two goals before half time to restore our advantage. Firminho's first goal is a lucky tap for being at the right place right time. Mane's effort should be applauded although it was Lallana that won the ball, it still take a very good finish to place the ball in the back of the net.

Second half was pretty much the same. Firminho's continuous running won him a brace. Burnley's second goal was also a good goal although I thought our defence could have done better in not letting them having so much space within the 6 yard box. Mane's second goal was counter attacking at its best with a mistake by Burnley's GK.

All in all, picking ourselves up following a miserable week after ending 0 - 0 with Everton. Let's push on, regardless of what the final outcome may be.

Yeah Keita played well against BM at Red Bull and Shaq is ex BM.

Milner is the top assist provider in CL. Amazing when there was Messi. Ronaldo etc. I guess they all selfish and score themselves and never pass to other people.

Good to have Lallana back... I think his return has given Klopp another option.. an attacking box to box midfielder who can play as forward... full of running and help to overload the opponent defence... no signs of rustiness at all...

Lallana pressed really well, best of the midfield 3. Fabino continues to anchor well but gini abit off the pace and rightly subbed by hendro.

Salah doing everything correctly except score. He played an heavy role in 1st 3 goals. One other reason why he is not finding the net as easier than last year is the increased attention from defenders marking him. However, this may then benefit Bobby and mane as they have a bit of space and chances.

The only real complaint last night was that pool conceded a poor goal in the 90th min. The game was on cruise mode after Bobby scored the 3rd.. Unnecessary pressure and tension

Regardless of where we stand end of the season, we really need to get a few new CBs in. Lovren/Matip/Gomez are simply not reliable! They are jus waiting for the 4th leg to play Mahjong in the treatment room!

Actually it's not that they are not good.. But the high standards of vvd make them look so bad in comparison

VVD says he will get Dutch international partner to join Pool.

Firmino was one of Liverpool’s star performers against the Clarets, once again showing that when he plays well, so do the Reds.

The Brazilian’s brace at Anfield means he has now contributed 100 goals and assists combined in a Liverpool shirt in all competitions (63 goals, 37 assists).

That is more than any other player has managed during Jurgen Klopp‘s tenure.

On Sunday, both did so in emphatic fashion, and as with Firmino’s brace, a double for Mane was significant on an individual level.

The Senegalese has now scored 50 goals in 109 games for Liverpool, becoming the 56th player in the club’s history to record a half-century.

Mane has now also netted the joint-most non-penalty goals in the Premier League this season, equal with Sergio Aguero on 16, and is fifth in the race for the Golden Boot.

Aguero has 18 in total, with Salah, Harry Kane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all on 17 and Mane on 16.
