I do hope they won't reneg on the CB deal but these are extraordinary times.

I'm definitely old school but I think reputation of a brand is worth more than saving a few $K per customer.

Hi anyone know if Wearnes bidded for you?

It's the 3rd time my SE told me bid submitted for me but as advised by others in the COE bidding forum I went to the link to check and "No Matching Records Found".

https://ocoe.lta.gov.sg

So not sure if they really bidded. For the previous 2 times, I checked 3 times. Once when she told me bid submitted, once when bid about to close and once when bid closed.

For this time round I checked when she told me bid submitted. Will check again later when the bid about to closed and after it closed.

Sure, will do. All eyes will be on the 8 Jul bidding. Will COE go up or down, frankly I think nobody really knows.

Unfortunately Volvo on Call App not available in SG. Not every country has this feature.
But, you can press and hold the unlock button some time before you are entering your car. Not only does it winds down all your windows, it turns on the aircon's fan (not the compressor, just the fan). I'm not sure if it works for the new S60 specifically, but SG owners of other models with the thor hammers light have verified that it works.

Quite interesting to see this forum topic so active. There are many conversations ongoing at the Volvo Club Singapore Facebook group as well. U can widen your connections with other Volvo owners (past, present, future) from there too.

Just saw the News on COE bidding price, went up to $37k for Cat B.

Think the CB purchase is a nightmare for Wearnes. Due to COE pricing now.

Didn't notice or pay attention to the Air Con Fan running or not.

Will take note next time and inform here. For S60 Model

This is my 3rd bidding, and Wearnes did bid for me (previous 2 rounds did not submit any). Unfortunately it got outbid.

Mabbe SE was referring to open cat? Mine also no bid for the 3rd time running.  Anyway if you are on GC and already driving a car, then it’s just a matter of time.

It can also work to buyers’ advantage if COE remains high. The later we get our new cars, the later the new car depreciation starts so I’m zen about it.

Yup it's on GC so am zen as well. Although I had sent in my trade in car to them in early July as it's due to be scrap at end July and currently don;t have a ride, I'm not in a hurry to get the car as currently WFH so don't really need a car except for weekend which I can use my brother-in-law car.

In fact as mentioned in this thread earlier, I told them if possible only secure the COE for me at the 6th bid will be best as like you mentioned, the later the depreciation starts the better it is.

And whether they submit a bid or not doesn't really matters as well as the main thing is whether did they secure the COE.

I mean to me there's no differences between submitting a bid and not securing the COE or not submitting a bid outright cos both have the same conclusion (one more bid passed and COE not secured.)

I just don't like it when the SE told me they submitted a bid when in fact they didn't. Especially when I told her to inform her management my case not urgent and I can wait. Ended up I need to monitor the price and hope that the COE price goes up so that I won't get the car so soon. Ha ha (I'm opposite to the rest, I don't want to register my car till end Sep if possible).
