And we should start controlling their numbers in the Parliament too, with too many redundant positions and people sleeping in the Parliament sessions.

Waste of resources.

I think home delivery should forgo these plastic cutlery too.

If eat at home, still need their utensils?

If we do a general clean up for civil servants, we probably will save $ millions or rather billions in a year. Who want to start Stirling up this shit?

A lot of focus are on visual stuff that everybody see but not serious. The big ones get hidden by making you busy with tiny stuffs. I used to say, they catch the ikan bilis but the sharks were just nearby nobody dare to tackle.

Fountains and swimming pools are the worse when come to water conservation. We do away with all the public fountains in the early 70 and somehow every single developments now are full of them.

If you go to Xiamen, every single building is with facade LED lights. They look terrible in my opinion and many are no working properly. Look at our Marina Bay Night lighting, we are nowhere near Xiamen but many are also not working well. BCA even give funds to building owners to do these light up. So, are we suppose to switch off or light up? Are these lights great and who decide them? It is timely someone higher look into them and don't let foreign consultants pulling our nose around.

Alberta oil sands has a huge amount in reserve. It's just that current prices aren't making it very profitable to extract. And also energy intensive. 1 barrel of oil to produce 2.

Fracking is likely to give us another source.

Wow. Brent hit $80 the other day but the oil sands still not profitable?

What's their cost of production?

I think the more they process, the cheaper it becomes but it's upfront costing that takes up a lot. I guess not too different from operating oil rigs.

But they are constantly operating lah, just more or less.

The articles i read were mostly when oil was 40 dollars a barrel.
